Booker, M. (1994) The dystopian impulse in modem literature: fiction as social criticism.
Westport, USA: Greenwood Publishing Group, Inc.
In this book I discovered a critical study about the relation between master
and slaves in utopian literature. Can I use the comparison in Chapter III to
try and explain the status of the characters.
Jameson, F. (2005) ARCHAEOLOGIES OF THE FUTURE: The Desire Called
Utopia and Other Science Fictions. New York, London: Verso
I will use the material from this book about Utopia varieties for the first
chapter of my paper.
Moylan, T. (1943) Scraps of the untainted sky: science fiction, utopia, dystopia.
Colorado, USA: Westview Press
I will use this book in the first chapter to highlight common features and
differentiation between utopian and dystopian novels. I will also analyze the
critical remarks made by author and probably will paraphrase his
statements.
This site compares the characters in the books with the TV series
characters. I will use this material in analyzing the characters and their
development in Chapter III.
