ePortfolio Proposal Draft#3
Purpose:
The purpose for my e-portfolio is to serve as my capstone experience for ETEC 590 and the
completion of my masters degree in the MET program at UBC. Essentially, the e-portfolio meets
the criteria for a category six teaching qualification required by the Teacher Regulation Branch
and TQS. The e-portfolio will serve as an overarching artifact that will illustrate evidence of the
growth, understanding, synthesis of my learning while participating in the MET program. A
demonstration of transformative learning will be shared through a selection of educational
artifacts and critical reflections that interconnect with my journey through the MET program.
Audience:
The primary audience is the course instructor ETEC 590, Dr. Feng and fellow students in the
cohort. Additionally, the audience may expand to include future MET students and professional
colleagues who may wish to use the e-portfolio as a learning/teaching resource.
Objectives:
To reflect on the learning journey I have experienced in the MET program.
To demonstrate concrete skills developed in the MET program in terms of creation and
inclusion of artifacts.
To propose specialized areas for individual study for potential research opportunities to
advance the field of E-Tech.
To create a clean, visually appealing engaging collection of my learning.
To re-examine my own teaching practice, and outline specific goals for improvement and
integration of Educational Technology-based theories and practices.
Platform:
I will likely use either Wordpress or Weebly as the platform for my ePortfolio since I am familiar
with both having used each for various assignments within the MET program.

Guiding Metaphor:
Flight as a Metaphor for Transcendent Learning. The four forces active in flight are also at play
when we discover and experience transcendent learning. These forces are Thrust, Drag,
Gravity and Lift. My learning journey will included reflections on the sensations of flight,
including fear,
boxed in limitations, and the motivation of our sense of wonder.
