1.Introduction

The Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) is a national research organization for scie

transfer and education in agriculture. It is always striving to provide solutions to a broad range o

TheGraduateSchoolofChineseAcademyofAgriculturalSciences(GSCAAS)isahighereducationins

graduate education (Agency No.82101). As the education arm of CAAS, GSCAAS has been ranke

graduate schools with its overall competitiveness in the disciplines of agriculture. It offers Masters

internationalstudentsthrough34institutesofCAAS.Thedurationofstudyusuallylastsfor3yearsfor

programs.Certificatesofgraduationanddegreeswillbeawardedtothosewhohavemettherequiremen

conferment.TheinstructionlanguagesaremostlyEnglishorChineseEnglishbilinguallyingraduatetrain
TheMinistryofEducationofPRCauthorizedGSCAAStoenrollinternationalstudentsin2007.Now

students various scholarships including the Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS), the Beijing Gove

andtheGSCAASScholarship(GSCAASS).IthasalsolaunchedtwojointPhDprogramsincollaboratio
Belgium and Wageningen University &Research, the Netherland. Now there are all together 245

countries studyat GSCAAS, of which 88% are pursuing doctoral degrees. GSCAAS is speeding up
developmentandwelcomesalloutstandingstudentsworldwidetopursuehighereducation.

inadvance.TheregistrationtimeisMarch1st15th,2017forthespringsemester,andSeptember1

9.DurationofStudyandDegreeConferral

ThedurationofstudyforbothMasterandDoctoraldegreesisthreeyears.Thedoctoralstudentscanre

Certificates of graduation and degrees will be awarded to those who have met the requirements
conferment.

Thedurationofvisitingstudynormallyislessthantwoyears.Applicantswhocompletethestudyorres
withavisitingstudycertificateofGSCAAS.
