How to convert your CATIA V4 file to CATIA V5 file (.

Model
to .CAT Part conversion through PLM V4 to V5 Migration tool)
This document can help you to convert your CATIA V4 (.model files to CATPart)
CATIA V5 File.
Please find the Step by step procedure for the same.
Step 1: Go to Start - -- > Programs --- > CATIA --- > Tools --- > Batch Management.

Or
In CATIA window go to Tools ---- > Utility --- >

It will open the below window , Double click on PLM V4 to V5 Migration as shown

Click the Document Selection folder (top right side)

It opens a new window as shown and click the Member icon in file selection dialogue
box.
After clicking member it ask for selecting your V4 file input. Select it. And click open.

Now select change target directory and select a folder wher you want to keep the output
file after conversion.

Now select the input directory path and click on change and provide the same path where
you want to keep the output.
Now click ok

Then as shown below select the Output : Target Directory Folder.(right bottom) and give
path for new a folder where you want to keep the output.

Now click next.

Now click Run as shown below (bottom right corner) and wait for few minutes until it
completes the command prompt mode running.

Once the CMD window closes automatically open your output folder and open the
GlobalResults.html report for ensuring that your migration completed successfully.

It will show the V4 to V5 Migration completed succuessfully.

Now you can use the CATPart file which is converted from .model.
