Kaya may mrf tayo ng sindalan.. yung mga collector natin kinukuha .. mga..
dinadala sa mrf.. sinesegregate doon. Yung mga segregation doo nyung ano..
plastic,tsaka yung diaper. Yung mga (food) waste natin, nakabukod din yun nasa
compost din yon.
The purpose of the Material Recovery Facility of Sindalan is to be able to segregate
the generated wastes. The rubbish accumulated by the collectors is then brought to
the MRF where further segregation is done. That is where things like plastics, food
wastes, and sanitary wastes are segregated. The food wastes are also separated
and put in compost. The workers are said to be paid by the barangay.
Some of these wastes are recyclable so they are sold. These wastes are put in a
certain container and are said to be the following: pet bottles, carton, paper, and
plastic.
It is said that only a certain percentage of wastes are segregated at home. So they
need to further segregate these wastes in the Material Recovery Facility.

Yung mrf dapat nakasegregate na. hindi lahat nakasegregate ilang porsyento
lamang. Kahit na nakasegreagate na sa bahay sinesegregate pa sa mrf.

We were also able to interview Sr. Don don Castro who is in charge of the MRF in
Barangay Sindalan. I asked him a few questions regarding the MRF through a call.
We were referred to him by Mr. Gwen Castro as we went to Sindalans Barangay
Hall. We called him instead as he wasnt present for the day.
