pepsi is a carbonated soft drink was produced and manufactured by pepsico. pepsi was first
introduced as brads drink, and was renamed as pepsi- cola in 1898 then to pepsi in1961.Pepsi
Co Inc. is an American multinational food, snack and beverage corporation headquartered in
purchase, new york, united state. this company has interests in the manufacturing, marketing
and distribution of grain based snack foods, beverages and other products. pepsi co.inc was
formed in 1965 with the merger of the pepsi cola company and frito lay. pepsi cola was
created by caleb braham in 1890s. caleb braham is a pharmacist and drugstore owner in new
bern north Carolina. he gets an idea to create this drink when trying to give his customers
some refreshing drink. this drink came from a general experimentation that include a
combination of spices, juices and syrups. after his drink was successed, his had launched his
new company called the Pepsi-cola in the back room his pharmacy in 1902 and applied to the
U.S patent office for a trademark. in 1903, pepsi-cola was officially registered with U.S patent
office after his succed sold the drink. pepsi co inc has since expanded from its namesake
product pepsi to a broder range of food and beverage brand, the largest of which includes an
acquisition of Tropicana in 1998 and a merger with quaker oats in 2001.
in 2012, pepsi co product were distribute across more than 200 countries. pepsi co has
became the second largest food and beverage business in the world. in 1966, pepsi co has
enters japan and eastern Europe. in 1971, pepsi-co has introduces a new logo but still remain
the red, white and blue color scheme that was adopted in 1943. in 1976, pepsi co was
introduced a new drink called pepsi light with a lemon taste as an alternative to traditional diet
colas. in 1982, pepsi free and diet pepsi free was introduced as the first major brand caffeine
free colas and it was the first pepsi cola operation in china. in 1985, pepsi co distributes
products in china and become the largest company in the beverage industry and pepsi product
are available in 150 countries. in 1991, pepsi cola forms a joint venture with unilever,and
merger with The quaker oats company in 2001.

now, pepsi co, become a well known brand collection of drinks of all kind and snack. pepsico
became a successful brand that had an effective marketing due to the type of products sold.
pepsi product are successful because of the product itself are cheap and can afford by many
people. people like a pepsi co products because of a lot of choices and variety product, so it
has increases consumers and sales in food store in the global market.

pepsico. global market strategies is through investing with more companies and brands
globally, campaigning new advertisements with popular celebrities.
pepsico continues their global expansion by establish dominance through the competition
between pepsi and coca cola. as a strategy, pepsico had infused $700 million into india in
2009 and plans another 500 million over the next year. to compete with coca cola in china
( coca cola has dominated in china), pepsico work on 2 major companies to dealing globally,
Tingyi (chinese beverage company) and grupo mabel (the 2nd largest maker of cookies inn
latin America).
next, pepsico has develop strategies through campaigning new advertisements with popular
celebrities such as micheal Jackson (1961), ray Charles (1930), Britney spears( 1981) and
mike mayer(1964). besides that pepsico has spent $6 million to advertise during super bowl in
1992 and paid $200 million for five year deal to advertise during NFL events. in 2000,
pepsico was teamed with yahoo to promote their products.

pepsico products are sold more than 200 countries and terriorites around the worlds including
north and south America, latin America, Europe, asia, middle east and north Africa

pepsi has their own uniqueness through the taste of drink. for example pepsi ice cucumber.
this limited edition cucmber flavored pepsi was sold in japan in 2007

pepsi retro was release in Mexican market in 2008. pepsi retro was offered in retro pepsi
imagery with cans and PET plastic bottle.

Pepsi Azuki was released to the Japanese market in 2009, this drink was use an
azuki as a main ingredients. azuki is a small maroon bean used to add a
sweetish taste to traditional Japanese snacks and desserts.

Pepsi Ice Cream, other than its sold only in Russia and tastes sort of like cream
soda.

Flavored with Shiso an aromatic leaf with a slightly similar smell and taste to
basil the drink was introduced in Japan on a limited time basis during the
summer of 2009.

everywhere EXCEPT Australia 2005

Pepsi Blue Hawaii, inspired by old Elvis movies and flavored with lemon and
pineapple. Pepsi hasnt had a great history with blue drinks the blandly named

Pepsi Blue being a prime example but since Pepsi Blue Hawaii was only
intended to be a limited edition I guess the powers that be at Pepsi let this one
slip by.
