Minster Getachew Reda made the remark at a press conference

The minister said the state of emergency has helped put under

He also said the investment endeavors that were interrupted
during the time of the chaos have now been reactivated.
He also stressed that the recent with drawl of the Ethiopian
forces from few parts of Somalia has nothing to do with the
declaration of the state of emergency here in Ethiopia.
Minster getachew also on the occasion asserted that Ethiopia is
always commited to peace and stability in Somalia.//

18-Investment projects reactivated

MEAN WHILE,The Amhara state investment commission
announced, 18 investment projects damaged and interrupted due
to the havoc ensued in Bhardar and its environs RECENTILY
have now been re activated.
In the last quarter of the fiscal year the commission has given
out licenses to projects that registered a capital worth over 4
billon birr.

The Ethiopian Peoples Revolutionary Front (EPRDF) and
Communist Party of China (CPC) have expressed their
respective desire to bolster their cooperation to curb corruption
and malpractices.
An eight-person delegation of the CPC headed by Chinas vice
Minister of Supervision, Wang Lingjun, ON WEDNESDAY
discussed

with

members

of

the

EPRDFs Supervision

Department and Control Commission on ways to advance

collaboration between the two parties in a bid to control
corruption and malpractices.
During the discussion, Head of Affiliated Parties and
Organizational Affairs of EPRDF Muferihat Kamil said the
ruling party clearly articulates corruption and rent-seeking
tendencies as major challenges it has faced.
The head noted that the party is hugely engaged in the reform
process and reviewing conditions that enable it to overcome rent

seeking, which is manifested by narrow nationalism and

chauvinism.
Muferihat briefed members of the CPC about the various
instruments EPRDF uses to curtail corrupt practices and its
commitment to address the challenges by holding accountable
high level party members who commit malpractices.
She indicated that Office of the Attorney General was
established to follow up the tasks of the executives and to raise
accountability in the system.
Member of the CPC and Chinas vice Minister of Supervision
Wang Lingjun stated on the occasion that the party has a desire
to foster its collaboration with EPRDF in the fight against
corruption.
The vice minister indicated the two parties need to give attention
to employ various instruments to combat corruption and
overcome its ever-complicated challenge.//

FRANCE cleared migrants camp

France says that it has completed the clearance of the "Jungle"
migrant camp in Calais, three days after it began an operation to
demolish it.
The announcement, from a regional official, came with fires still
burning in the camp, after blazes were set overnight and in the
morning.
The camp has become a key symbol of Europe's migration
crisis, with its residents desperate to reach the UK.
Authorities have been bussing migrants to shelters around
France since Monday.
Fabienne Buccio, the prefect of Pas-de-Calais, said: "It's the end
of the Jungle, our mission is over. There are no more migrants in
the camp.//
