General information
Active for health, youth exchange, is willing to promote healthy lifestyle. The
initial idea was born from the understanding that nutrition and sport activities
has become an important aspect which has lots of implications on our everyday
life and our society. The fast rhythms of living, the anxiety, the fast food diets
and the constant unhealthy habits are becoming more and more visible. We have
realized how important is to bring more information about variety of healthy
diets, sport and exercises, to include youngsters into active participation and
focus on healthy behaviors.
The main idea of this youth exchange is for the participants to understand and
experience how a healthy life looks like, which of our habits are affecting
positively or negatively our routine and find out ways to change whatever does
not work in a good way for the body, mind and soul. The participants are going
to have the opportunity to experience health in many different levels: sports,
yoga, meditation, diets, safety in sexual life, humor as a healthy lifestyle and
increase their awareness around these sensitive topics.
Participants profile
30 participants from 6 different countries.
From each country we expect 5 people , 4 participants + 1 group leader
Participants must be 18-25 years old, there is no age limit for the group
leader
Gender balance is mandatory for each team
The working language is English, so all the participants must have a good
command in spoken and written English.
The target group for the youth exchange Active for health are youngsters
who have problems with health, have bad habits and want to fight them or
youngsters who simply would like to gain new ideas, knowledge and inspiration
for living a healthy lifestyle. We expect to gather participants without previous
experience within Erasmus+ programme to involve new people with new ideas
and attitudes into the project. We will also include youngsters who are facing
economic, geographical and social obstacles.
Group leaders should be youth workers, people connected with sport
activities, yoga or nutrition specialists, facilitators in nonformal education,
motivated to develop their competences about healthy lifestyle and to share their
experiences with other participants. It is expected that experienced group leaders
will take the responsibilities of tutoring and supporting youngsters from their
national groups. The most important qualities for a group leader are good
interpersonal skills, positive thinking, the ability to create a friendly atmosphere
among participants of different backgrounds and to prevent any kind of conflicts.
