llave inglesa, y los surrealistas una copa de cristal.
Esto se ha perdido. Sabemos leer en los rostros todas las
promesas, ltimo estado de la morfologa.
La poesa de los carteles ha durado veinte aos. Nos
aburrimos en la ciudad, tenemos que pringarnos para descubrir
misterios todava en los carteles de la calle, ltimo estado del
humor y de la poesa
. Hay que explorar la ciudad!!!
Y explorar la ciudad, tambin significa volver a mirarla y a recorrerla
con otros ojos, con otra actitud o con el pretexto de seguir y encontrar
las pistas de cada intervencin sobre el plano y el terreno.

Apoyndose sobre
la iconografa de uno de los
fenmenos fundadores de la cultura
globalizada, Space Invader ha sabido
crear una esttica, un plan de accin
y de estrategia para elaborar acertadas
intervenciones en cada ciudad, invadindola con
mosaicos, que recrean la reconocible iconografa
del videojuego Space Invaders, inventado en 1978
por Toshiro Nishikado y que hoy, 30 aos despus,
ha entrado a formar parte de nuestra memoria colectiva
y globalizada, con su universo de nmeros y pxeles.
Desde hace unos diez aos, sus intervenciones y personajes
invaden los muros de las ms importantes ciudades del mundo:
Pars, Nueva York, Barcelona, Sydney, Tokio, Los ngeles, Berln,
etc.

espacio y su entorno, con obras que
a veces son complejas representaciones
compuestas por reflejos intermitentes,
de parejas y dobles.
Para
la exposicin,
el artista propone una
video-instalacin que representa
la reconstruccin de un espacio arquitectnico,
a partir de una fotografa invertida de un espacio urbano
real de la ciudad (un parking); en un ejercicio de
simulacro y espejo (invertido), que se concreta en la
sala. Una estrategia que a travs del uso del juego de la
apariencia, entre lo real y su reflejo, pone al descubierto la
aparente simetra a la que est sujeta la representacin.

We are bored in the city, there is no longer any Temple of the Sun.
Between the legs of the women walking by, the dadaists imagined
a monkey wrench and the surrealists a crystal cup. Thats lost.
We know how to read every promise in faces - the latest stage
of morphology. The poetry of the billboards lasted twenty years.
We are bored in the city, we really have to strain to still discover
mysteries of the sidewalk billboards, the latest state of humour and
poetry
the city has to be explored!
And exploring the city also means looking at it again and walking
through it with other eyes, another attitude and with the pretext of
continuing and finding the clues of each intervention on its plan
and terrain.

Based on the iconography of one of the founding phenomena of
globalised culture s, Space Invader has managed to create an aesthetic
and an action and strategical plan to elaborate precise interventions
in each city, invading it with mosaics that recreate the recognisable
iconography of the Space Invaders video game, invented in 1978 by
Toshiro Nishikado and which has now, almost 30 years later, become
part of our collective and globalised memory, with its universe of
numbers and pixels.
His interventions and characters have been invading the walls of the
most important cities in the world for ten years now: Paris, New York,
Barcelona, Sydney, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Berlin, etc.
His invasions invite us to poetically stroll through the city, for which he
has designed a specific map of each intervention, thus allowing visitors
to find the interventions, which are strategically located in the streets
of each urban centre.
For the Percepcin (S)tencible exhibition, the artist has proposed
a series of interventions in the city of Bilbao and the elaboration of
corresponding maps in the exhibition hall, so that visitors are able to
appreciate within the exhibition space images from the interventions
in other cities and the actual interventions in the city of Bilbao outside
this space.
INTRODUCCIN
The project is an ephemeral action (it may last a few hours or even a
few days) and is participatory in structure. Being an interdisciplinary
action, the project combines drawing, urbanism, a journey through a
place, sculpture and social exchange.
For the project, the artist has gone on various routes throughout Bilbao,
recording them as videos and photos that, reorganised by layers and
periods of time, are articulated on the chords of an expressly made
melody. Both pieces described in photography and video invite us on a
unique journey through the exhibition and the city.

Transgression and violence are less serious, for they only contest the

Norway, France, etc, recovering walls, supports or urban structures
destined to be forgotten, abandoned or simply left to everyday wear
and tear. Their surfaces are revived by a contemporary iconography
that converts them into renovated creation and design spaces upon

For this project, the Extralargos collective has produced one of its
compositions upon a meteorological cabin in the Txurdinaga sports
complex. With this intervention, the object itself has been renewed
upon the space of the city, becoming a space/support of a design that
leads it beyond its function as urban furniture.

Thematically, there are two fundamental elements in the work of Aitor
Lajarn: spaces and places (maps, urban networks, houses and urban
environments at an individual scale) and characters (protagonists of the
action), the centre of each event and each sequence. He manages to

Kultura globalizatuaren fenomeno fundatzaile baten ikonografian
oinarrituz, Space Invader-ek jakin du estetika bat, ekintza eta
estrategia plan bat sortzen egokiak diren interbentzioak gauzatzeko,
hiriak mosaikoekin inbadituz. Hauek, Space Invaders bideojokoaren
ikonografia ezaguna birsortzen dute. Bideojoko hori, Toshiro Nishikadok asmatu zuen 1978an eta gaur, ia 30 urte geroago, gure oroimen
kolektibo eta globalizatuaren parte bilakatu da, zenbaki eta pixelez
osaturiko unibertsoarekin.
Eta hiria esploratzeak begirada bueltatzea ere esan nahi du, beste
begi batzuekin begiratu, beste jarrera batekin edo jarraitzeko
aitzakiarekin eta interbentzio bakoitzaren pistak aurkitu, planoan

He has a BA in Fine Art from Sorbonne University and a Masters in
Multimedia and Hypermedia from the cole Nationale Suprieure
des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He is currently one of the most renowned
practitioners of Street Art and his work has been displayed in individual
and collective exhibitions in numerous galleries in Paris London, Tokyo,
Melbourne, Los Angeles and New York.
His invasions can be found in many cities throughout the world and
are beginning to form part of important private collections in Europe
and the USA.

Extralargos is a collective comprising artists from different regions,
though its members live and work mainly in the Basque Country.
Their compositions have been seen in various countries, such as Spain,

Pamplona, Madrid and the Basque Country.

from the University of the Basque Country. He has had individual
exhibitions in various galleries in Barcelona, Gijn, Tarragona and Bilbao

He has received various prizes and distinctions, such as Honourable
Mention at the IV International Biennale of the Plastic Arts in Alcorcn,
the Beca-Taller (scholarship-workshop) provided by the Fundacin
Bilbao Arte and the creative scholarship from the Colegio de Espaa in
Paris. His work also forms a part of important institutional collections.

photography and her subject matter has developed a special interest in
urban culture. Originally from the world of audiovisual communication,
she now works in the publishing world, in experimental art and design

Aitor Lajarn is a multidisciplinary artist who combines sculpture,

He has received many prizes, scholarships and much recognition in
