1 $ORACLE_HOME IN LINUX

DEINSTALL ORACLE_HOME
Oracle provide us the deinstallation tool is available in $ORACLE_HOME directories after
installation. This tool completely removes Oracle Software and configuration files on the
Operating System. With that tool it is possible to remove Oracle S/w binaries completely.
The location of the tool in the $ORACLE_HOME/deinstall directory.

$ echo $ORACLE_HOME
/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1

Go to the old $ORACLE_HOME which you want to DEINSTALL and run deinstall utility to
remove Oracle binaries. Here, I want to remove 11.2.0.1 Oracle database Software.

# Go to the $ORACLE_HOME/deinstall directory

$ cd $ORACLE_HOME/deinstall
$ ls -ltr
