Malaysia is the leading nation in the field of Islamic Finance research with four local institutions being among top 10 IF research
producers. Malaysia accounts for 31% of all Islamic Finance published research papers in 2011-2013. Despite numerous platform for
research in IF, few has succeded in translating research papers into feasible innovations.
IF InnoFest 2016 seeks to create a platform that brings together industry, regulatory bodies & universities to develop and implement
breakthrough ideas and innovative solutions in IF. We are delighted to invite you to join us at our inaugural IF InnoFest 2016 on
24 November 2016, Sasana Kijang, BNM, Kuala Lumpur with the theme Energising Innovation in Islamic Financial Services.

Award presentation for Best Idea Pitch

IF INNOFEST 2016: FORMAT

PRESENTERS/PARTICIPANTS

6 Idea Pitch will be presented in the hall in

front of the industry players for 10 mins,
Q&A 10 mins and 10 mins comment by the
panel.

16 Idea Pitches will be selected by the Evaluation Committee.

All 16 pitches will be given a booth to showcase their ideas
using poster format presentation. The best 6 will be pitching
their ideas in front of key industry players in the main hall.

16 poster presentation (in the foyer),

between 1-2pm.

No fees required for both presenters and participants.

The best Idea Pitch will be judged and

voted by audience.

IDEA PITCH AND LANGUAGE OF THE IF INNOFEST 2016

Prospective presenters shall submit their Idea Pitch in English. It is IMPORTANT for
presenters to communicate their ideas effectively to attract the audiences attention.

Rules:

Participants also needs to submit Idea Pitch in poster

format. The organiser will prepare X-style booth (size 3m x
3m) for the participants to showcase their ideas.

Keep your Idea Pitch concise.

The Poster should consist of the following:

The Idea Pitch should capture the key information

required by the product strategy group to make
decisions on potential investments.

Title is short and draws interest
Word count of about 300 to 800 words
Text is clear and to the point
Use of bullets, numbering, and headlines make it
