Completion

Group the children by 3s and give each group different

colored blocks.
Write a problem on the board and ask them to try and
solve it, monitor that children stay focused and work
together to solve the problem using the tools provided.
Have the students compare answers with other groups
and explain how they got their answer.
Continue with a few more problems (include story
problem and unknown number problems) for the children
to answer
With the children still in their groups ask them to create
one addition problem and one subtraction problem and to
solve the equations.
Collect the group work and clean up the cleaning blocks
Have the students work alone to complete the math
coloring sheets
Pass out worksheets for students to work on at home
Students will work together to create equations and have
the correct answers to the equations
Students will complete coloring worksheets with correct
answers
