Day 01:
Arrive Chennai
On arrival to Chennai and transfer to the hotel. Half a day Chennai sightseeing and overnight
stay in Chennai.
Day 02:
Chennai Tirupati (150 km)
Morning after breakfast, proceed to Tirupati famous for the ancient temple of Lord
Venkateswara. Darshan and overnight stay at Tirupati.
Day 03:
Tirupati Kanchipuram (110 km) Mahabalipuram (70 km)
Morning after breakfast drive to Mahabalipuram enroute visit Kanchipuram the ancient capital
of the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000 Temples and still has 124 shrines. On arrival check-into
the hotel. Afternoon visit Shore Temple, Five Rathas, Arjunas Penace, etc. Overnight at
Mahabalipuram.
Day 04:
Mahabalipuram Tiruvannamalai (170 km) Pondicherry (100 km)
Morning after breakfast drive to Pondicherry. Enroute visit to Tiruvannamalai temple of Lord
Shiva. After lunch proceed to Pondicherry, which carries a strong whiff of the French presence
in India. Overnight at Pondicherry.
Day 05:
Pondicherry
After breakfast proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Pondicherry covering Sri Aurobindo
Ashram, Matrimandir at Auroville, Botanical Gardens and Chunnambar backwaters. Overnight
at Pondicherry.
Day 06:
After breakfast drive to Chidambaram, which has the famous Nataraja temple. Nataraja is Lord
Shiva as a cosmic dancer. After lunch, drive to Thanjavur or Tanjore. Tanjore once the capital of
the Chola Kings, has the Brahadeswara temple (or the big temple of God). Overnight at
Tanjore.
Day 07:
Tanjore/Thanjavur Trichy/Thiruchirapalli (60 km)
After breakfast leave for Trichy, situated on the banks of the Caveri River and famous for the
Ranganath temple at Srirangam. Check into the hotel. After lunch take a city tour visiting Rock
fort and its temple at a height of over 23mts. Also visit Srirangam and Jambukeshwar Temple.
Overnight at Trichy.
Day 08:
Trichy Madurai (140 km)
After breakfast proceed to Madurai and check into the hotel. After lunch take a city tour visiting
- Meenakshi temple, King Tirumala's Palace, Great tank and Gandhi museum. Overnight at
Madurai.
Day 09:
Madurai Rameswaram (175 km)
After breakfast proceed to Rameswaram. Lord Rama is said to have visited Rameswaram before
going into battle with Lanka. One of the twelve Jyotirlingam shrines is also well known for its
magnificent corridors and the massive sculptured pillars lining them. Overnight at
Rameswaram.
Day 10:
Rameswaram Kanyakumari (300 km)
After breakfast drive to Kanyakumari and check into the hotel on arrival. Evening visit
Vivekananda Rock Memorial and enjoy the beautiful sunset. Overnight stay at Kanyakumari.
Day 11:
Kanyakumari Trivandrum (85 km)
Morning visit Amman Temples and proceed to Trivandrum. On arrival check into the hotel.
Evening visit Napier museum, Padmanabhapuram palace and Padmanabha swami temple.
Overnight stay at Trivandrum.
Day 12:
Trivandrum Departure
Morning after breakfast transfer to the airport / Railway station for onward journey.

Arupadai veedu
Skanda - also known as Murugan, Kartikeya, Subramanya is one of the
most revered deities in the southern state of Tamilnadu. All these
temples are located in South India - in the state of Tamil Nadu. Though
there are thousands of temples for the Hindu god Lord Muruga - around
the globe, these six specific temples enjoy unparallel sanctity and
popularity among the devotees of Muruga or Balasubramanya - and
deserve a very special mention. These six temples that constitute the
Arupadai veedu group of shrines are Thiruparamkunram Subramanya
Swami Temple, Tiruchendur Sendhil Andavar Temple, Swamimalai
Swaminatha Swami Temple, Palani Dandayudhapani Swamy Temple,
Tiruthani Subramanya Swamy Temple and Palamudhircholai Subramanya
Swamy Temple.

Depart from Chennai by car to Tiruthani, Darshan of Lord Thanikachalam
& back to Chennai, Overnight stay at Chennai.
Day 2: Chennai Swamimalai
Depart from Chennai to Swamimalai. Visit the temple of Murugan at
Swamimalai. Arrive Thanjavur. Visit the Brahadeeswara temple.

Day 6 : AM Drive to Swamimalai (130 Kms. / 3 hrs.) enroute visiting Chidambaram &
Gangaikondacholapuram temples. On arrival check in to hotel.
Gangaikondacholapuram : The beautiful town of Gangaikondacholapuram was
constructed on the banks of the river Ganges by the Chola King Rajendra I to
commemorate his victory over the kingdoms bordering it. The rock carvings here are
bold and make an impact with their keen sense of detailing and style.
Overnight Swamimalai.
Day 7 : AM Drive to Tanjore (36 kms. / 45 mins) via Darasuram temple. On arrival check
into Hotel.
The Darasuram temple is a fine testimony to the skill and craftsmanship of 12th century
Chola architects. The temple is covered with exquisite sculptures of Lord Siva in all his
magnificence.
Overnight Tanjore.
Day 8 : AM Sightseeing of Tanjore covering Brihadeshwara Temple and Library and
later drive to Chettinad (65 Kms. / 2 hrs.)
Brahadeeswara Temple : Built by the Chola King, Raja Raja I in the 10th century AD.
The temple has a gigantic Mahalingam and the second largest monolithic Nandi in
India. Besides this, it has a gigantic 14-tiered pyramid-shaped tower over the temple
sanctum, 64.8m tall with a square base topped by huge monolithic granite cupolas. Its
unique construction ensures that the shadow of the cupola never falls on the ground.
Overnight Chettinad.
Day 9 : AM Sightseeing of Chettinad and later drive to Madurai visiting The Rockfort
Temple and Srirangam Temple in Trichy enroute (210 kms. / 6 hrs.)
The Rockfort Temple : This magnificient temple is dedicated to Lord Siva, his consort
Parvathi and Lord Ganesha. Built on an 83m high rock that dates back to 3800 million
years ,it offers a spectacular view of the city. Climbing up the 437 steps cut into the rock
face is a picturesque and spiritual experience as several small shrines dot the way.
Srirangam Temple : A Marvel of South Indian architecture and spread over an
astounding 2.5 sq.kms with 21 huge gopurams. The temple was built between the 14th
and 17th centuries on an island in the Cauvery. It boasts of the worlds largest temple
tower,a mammoth 13-tiered, 72 mt marvel! It is known as the Raja Gopuram and has a
gleaming golden dome which is plated with pure gold leaves
Overnight Madurai.
Day 10 : AM Sightseeing of Madurai covering Temple, Tirumalai Nayak Palace and
Theppakulam.
Evening visit the Meenakshi Temple for Puja ceremony.
Meenakshi Temple : The Madurai Meenakshi Temple is dedicated to Goddess
Meenakshi, the protectress of Madurai. Built in the 16th Century by Tirumalai Nayak, it
is spread over 350 hectares. Enclosed by walls, each has a nine-storey gopuram which
is adorned by thousands of intricately carved celestial and animal figures
Tiurmalai Nayak Palace : One of the grandest monuments in Madurai and a stunning
piece of Indo-Saracenic architecture. It was built in the early 17th century by Tirumalai
Nayak with the finest of craftsmen. The massive columns and finely carved arches and

Day 01: Arrival at Chennai (Madras)
Upon arrival at Chennai, our representative will assist and transfer you to hotel. Chennai, the
capital city of Tamil Nadu, is known as the 'Gateway to South India'. Chennai is popular for
hundreds of amazing temples and historic monuments. After resting a little, proceed for a half
day sightseeing tour of Chennai covering Valluvar Kottam, National Art and Government
Museum, Snake Park, Anna Zoological Park, St. George Fort, Gandhi Memorial, Kala Kshetra,
Parthasarathi temple and Kapaleeshwar temple. Evening visit the picturesque Marina Beach
that is the most popular tourist attraction in Chennai. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Chennai/ Kanchipuram/ Mahabalipuram (76km-2hrs)
After breakfast, you will be driven to Kanchipuram and later Mahabalipuram. Renowned for its
crafted silk sarees, Kanchipuram is also known as the city of thousand temples. Visit the
important temples Vaikuntha Perumal temple, Varadaraja temple, Kailasnatha temple and
Kamakshi Amman temple in Kanchipuram. Then drive to Mahabalipuram, famous for its historic
monuments and has been classified as a UNESCO world heritage. Check in to the hotel. Later,
visit the Shore temples, Arjunas Penance, the world's largest bas-relief, Cave Temples, Rock
Temples, Monolithic Temples and the Five Rathas. Over night stay at the hotel.
Day 03: Mahabalipuram / Pondicherry
Morning after breakfast, proceed to explore the Famous Indian - French land "Pondicherry". On
arrival check in to hotel and proceed for a full day sight seeing of Pondicherry visiting Botanical
garden, Eglise De Sacre Coeur De Jesus and Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Later visit township of
Auroville or the city of Dawn, Matrimandir, Old French Colony, 16 century Greco-Roman
architectural Aayi Mandapam, Dupleix statue, 19th century light house, Pondicherry museum
and serenity beach. Over night stay at hotel.
Day 04: Pondicherry - Chidambaram (65kms/1.5hrs)
After breakfast drive to Chidambaram also called as Thillai, which has the famous Nataraja
temple with the root of the sanctum-sanctorum covered with golden plates is located in the

centre of the town covering an area of 40 acres. In this temple, postures from the
Bharatnatayam form of dance are depicted in sculpture.
Chidambaram - Thanjavur (104kms/03hrs)
After lunch proceed to Tanjore - the home of Carnatic music, musical instruments, dance and
traditional hadicrafts, Tanjore (Thanjavur) is popular for its temples and paintings. Visit the
famous Brihadeeswarar temple housing a huge Shiva lingam and a stone sculpture of the Nandi
bull. The Art Gallery and the Saraswathi Mahal Library are also well known places of interest.
Overnight stay will be at Tanjore.
Day 05: Thanjavur - Trichy
After breakfast leave for Trichy. It is also called Trichurapalli. The place is one of the most
sacred towns of south India. Check in to hotel. City tour includes visiting Rock fort and its temple
at a height of over 23mts and also visit Ranganath temple at Srirangam, Jambukeshwar
Temple, St Johns Church, Vayalur, Thiru Erumbur and Thiruvellarai. Over night stay at hotel.
Day 06: Trichy - Madurai (140 km- 4hrs)
Morning we drive to Madurai, a 2600 years old famous temple town of south India. Arrive and
check into the Hotel. In the afternoon visit the famous Meenakshi temple, the Mariamman
Teppakulam (Great Tank), the 1000-pillared Hall, Gandhi Museum and the Palace of Tirumalai
Nayak. In the evening visit the Alagar Hills and Thirupura Rock Temple. Over night stay at hotel.
Day 07: Madurai - Rameshwaram Madurai (172 km- 4hrs).
After morning breakfast we leave for Rameshwaram, a sacred pilgrimage destination for Hindus
known for its enchanting scenic beauty. Visit the famous Ramanathaswamy Temple, located
close to sea on the eastern side of the island. Also visit Kothandaramaswamy Temple, Ramlinga
Vilasam Palace and Gandamadana Parvatham, the stepped mandapam which gives an
exceptional view of the countryside. Return to Madurai by evening. Overnight stay will be at
Madurai.
Day 08: Madurai - Thiruvananthapuram
Morning we drive to Tiruvananthapuram and check in to hotel. Later proceed for a half day city
tour of Tiruvananthapuram visiting Ananthapadmanabha swamy Temple ,chitralaya art gallery,
Puthen Malika palace etc .Over night stay at hotel
Day 09: In Thiruvananthapuram
Morning go for a whole day sightseeing tour of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala
covering Science and Technology museum, Napier Museum, Sree Chithra Art Gallery,
Zoological Gardens, Reptile House, Observatory and Kanakakannu Palace, Veli Tourist village,
Aakulam boat club and Shangmugham Beach to enjoy the unique experience of Sunset & Moon
rise over the ocean simultaneously. Over night at hotel.

Full day excursion to Kanyakumari, the southern tip of India where the three oceans meet.
Enroute visit Padmanabhapuram Palace and Suchindram temple. Check in to your hotel.In the
afternoon visit Vivekananda Rock, Kanyakumari temple and Gandhi Memorial. Evening enjoy
the beautiful sun set and later return to Trivandrum. Over night stay at Hotel.
Day 11: Depart
Later on time transfer to international airport to board a flight for your onward destination or way
back home with sweet memories of India Tour.

Day 2: Chennai
On day 2 of the tour, leave your hotel for a city tour. Fondly known as the Gateway of South, Chennai is home to a number
of tourist attractions. The list of attractions that you cover during the sightseeing includes the Theosophical Society, Sri
Parthasarathy Temple, Kalakshetra, the St. Mary's Church, Kapaliswara Temple, San Thomas Cathedral Basilica, Mylapore,
Fort St. George and houses the Secretariat and Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu. The evening is at leisure. Stay
overnight.

One of such attraction that you will visit today includes Krishna Mandapam. Dedicated to Lord Krishna, it is the worlds
largest cave-cut Hindu temple. The walls of this temple consist of several figures, including those of Lord Krishna, humans,
birds and demi-gods.
The other attraction will be the Shore temple. Dating back to the 8 th century, this temple is one of the finest examples of
Dravidian style of architecture.
The last attraction of the day is the Five (Paanch) Rathas. Also called the Paandava Rathas, it is a group of 5 monolithic
temples, each erected in a different architecture styling. Back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
the day is Sri Aurobindo Ashram, founded by Sri Aurobindo, way back in the year 1926. This spiritual community is flocked
by a huge number of visitors all round the year. Stay overnight in Pondicherry.

Day 12 is scheduled for a day-trip to Rameshwaram for darshan at the Rameshwaram temple. If history is to be believed
the island and the temple got their names from the event when Lord Rama worshipped Lord Shiva to gain penance when he
was coming from Lanka, after killing Ravana. Back to Trichy hotel for an overnight stay.
