Lesson begins with a discussion about the muscular


system, the teacher should be encouraging
students to share their prior knowledge and focus
their responses around the what why and how.

Teacher will present muscular syatem 1/2


powerpoint presentation slides #1-7

Teacher to ask students to come to the front and


write their responses on the board to create a
word map using the key words and phrases that
they know or can identify which relate to the
learning intention.

Students use their electronic devises to


investigate muscle types and complete a short
200 word summary describing the 3 types of
muscle found in the body and their roles,
including any appropriate additional information.

Class concludes with a sharing circle, where students


can share something that they learnt from todays lesson
or something that they found interesting. This space is
also for students to ask any questions about the topic
that they didnt get an opportuinity to during the lesson.
Teacher will spend the last minutes of class introducing
the following class topics and outlining and additional
materials that students should bring.

Students are given muscular system labelling


worksheets to complete individually
(10 minutes)
Students then watch the major muscle group
video and complete any parts of their worksheet
still incomplete.
