7. Go buy a bag of burgers and watch old movies that you enjoy for the night.

9. Listen to your favorite CDs with a video fireplace or video aquarium or other video DVDs
playing and light some scented candles. Enjoy the ambience. You don't have to be a part of a
couple to enjoy a nice atmosphere. You can purchase 20 feet long cables to plug into your
television or stereo for your headphones so you won't disturb your neighbors anytime day or
night from Radio Shack for about ten dollars.
10. Do research online for some of your favorite projects. Search engines can find many websites
for you to explore on just about any subject.
16. Dance until exhausted. Dancing is a great way to exercise and lose some weight like you
have been meaning to do. You can find Exercise midis and Music midis to enjoy.
17. Make a to-do-list for things you still want to do and places you still want to visit.
18. Plan a vacation for the future.
29. Color your hair. You will always look younger if no gray shows in your hair.
30. Visit a particular store you absolutely love, and make notes of all the things you want to buy
there when you can afford them.
32. Take an entire day just to sleep. Sometimes this is as good as it gets. Turn off your phone
ringer, put a do-not-disturb sign on your front door, wear ear plugs if you have noisy neighbors,
put on an eye mask if the sun is too bright in your room, or buy some of those room darkening
curtains or mini blinds, and catch up on that rest your body and mind needs so badly. Remember
your body and mind heals while you sleep.
36. Make yourself a banana split and eat it without feeling guilty about the calories. Mayfield
Dairy actually makes an ice cream called Banana Split, and it is soooo good. Kroger carries it.
37. Give yourself a "Day at the Spa" but at home... facial, manicure, pedicure, massage, big
fluffy white towels and white terrycloth robe, etc. Massage Watkin's Lemon Cream Lotion onto
your whole body, and smell delicious. You can buy it at your local Walmart or online at
Drugstore.com. HomeMedics makes a wonderful massage mat that you can lay on in your bed.
PedEgg gives great treatment on your feet scraping off those dead skin cells on your heels
without pain. Those facial creams can also be used on your feet and body to remove dead skin
cells. Don't forget the cucumber slices for your eyes while you are laying on your massage mat.
Once you begin enjoying this at-home-spa-day, you will want to do it often, it is so much fun.
Look for products at your local department stores to add to your spa stock items, such as Dr.
Teal's Relax or Sleep bubble bath, or those Swiss facial creams and lotions available. Check out
Tuesday Mornings terrycloth bathrobes for $14.95 each. You will need a stainless steel large
bowl for a foot bath or else buy one of those foot baths that massage your feet. Stainless steel

helps wash away odors. The sky is the limit on this one, as you can always find more fun things
to use to pamper yourself and keep adding to your spa stock collection.
41. Spray all your bed linens with lavender so you will be able to sleep with a wonderful
fragrance relaxing you. The Healing Garden makes a wonderful lavender spray that is perfect for
doing this. You can buy it at Walmart and Kmart.
42. Buy yourself some of those big fluffy white Egyptian cotton towels and special scented soap
such as, Beautiful by Estee Lauder sold at Belks Department Stores, then pamper yourself every
time you take a bath or shower and smell fabulous.
43. Make a fresh fruit smoothie to drink, and pat some of it all over your face, let it dry, then
rinse it off with warm water. Use your favorite fruits placed in a blender and liquified.
44. Wear your favorite cologne or perfume just to perk up your spirit. Try Body, Mind, and
Spirit by Tova sold only at QVC. If you don't have a favorite, try dabbing some lemon, lime,
orange, and lavender oils around your home, or dab them onto light bulbs, then turn them on for
the fragrance to surround you.
53. Give yourself a makeover and experiment with new makeup, cologne, clothes, or hairstyles.
54. Whatever your favorite types movies are, buy one new movie per month. Then put it up until
you are ready to watch it. Make a big night out of it by having your favorite snacks and drinks
close at hand. I prefer comedies, and I buy them when they come out on DVD. When we watch
them, we always have popcorn, soft drinks, and candy, just like in a real theater. Check out stores
like Dollar General, Family Dollar, Kmart, and Walmart for some real bargains on VHS and
DVD movies, as well as popcorn, soft drinks, and candy.
57. Take a totally free self-help e-course online, one that you can finish without a time limit and
that can enrich your life.
59. Take a 30-minute power walk every day. If depressed, stare out at the distance, not down at
the ground. If you cannot get outdoors, use those walking videos by Leslie Sansone.
60. Buy yourself one of those nice body massagers and use it on those tired, aching muscles all
over your body right after you get out of the bath or shower.
70. Videotape anything you would like for others to know if something should ever happen to
you. You can even make a video living will. For insurance purposes, video tape everything of
value in your home so you have a record of it all. You should also let anyone know if you want
to be resuscitated and kept alive by machines if you can't breathe or have a heart attack or stroke.
73. Make a list of all the things there are to do in your area that you would enjoy doing, then do
one each week.

74. Daydream about what you would do if you won the lottery, then visualize it happening.
When you can internally "see" it happening, it will.
77. Massage your neck, shoulders, and feet with peppermint lotion.
81. Take a subject you particularly enjoy, and do research on it online. Become an expert on it.
82 Begin a new hobby. Think of something you have always wanted to do, then set out to learn
how to do it. Some suggestions for hobbies that can be done alone are art or music appreciation,
research, watching movies, painting pictures, reading books, doing ceramics or plaster crafts,
sketching designs, decorating your home, making home repairs, computer repairs, charcoal
drawing, doing crafts, writing poems, stories, or novels, photography, sailing, fishing, cooking,
or shopping.
93. Treat yourself to a nice breakfast out.

103. Take up video belly dancing. It's a lot harder than you think and great exercise. Barnes and
Noble sells some good videos on it.

4. Do not accept projects that won't fit into your time schedule, that will compromise your
physical or mental health, or jeopardize your primary familial relationship.
6. Simplify, organize, and de-clutter your life. Make your home your sanctuary where you can
relax and live in peace and safety.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many. Give your loved
ones space when they need it.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over a period of time. Don't lump
the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time. If that is overwhelming, take one baby step at a time.

11. Separate worries from concerns. If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have
you do by talking to Him about it, then let go of the anxiety. If you can't do anything about a
situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget. Don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases. Better yet, don't use
credit cards at all.
13. Have backups - an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra
food in your pantry, Emergency items prepared in advance of a disaster, extra stamps, etc.
14. Keep Your Mouth Shut. (KYMS) Doing this can prevent an enormous amount of trouble in
any relationship. It is not necessary to be the winner in a no-win situation. It's just as okay to lose
because there is no real winner if it causes hard or hurt feelings.
15. Let your Inner Child come out to play every day. This is what keeps a person young.
17. Try to maintain a positive mindset. Bless instead of cursing. Be grateful to God for all that
He blesses you with.
18. Eat healthy foods. Exercise portion control but don't deny yourself of your favorite foods,
just use moderation.
19. Get your home and life organized so everything has its place and priority.
20. Listen to a CD while driving that can help improve your quality of life. Repeat positive
affirmations daily to see your life get better.
21. Write down thoughts, inspirations, and things for which you are grateful. Read it often to
keep yourself inspired and motivated.
22. Every day, find time to be alone to avoid going into overwhelm. Recoupe your energy from
God. If you feel yourself going into overwhelm and begin overreacting, get alone, take a bath,
shampoo your hair, eat something nourishing, and get some rest or do something that you enjoy
doing alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait
until it's time to go to bed to try and pray. Never go to bed angry.
29. Develop a forgiving attitude, (most people are doing the best they can.) Remember if you
don't forgive others, how can God forgive you? Don't try to control or manipulate others.
30. Be kind to unkind people because they probably need it the most. Kindness is a gift you can
give to everyone that doesn't cost you a cent but to the people you give it to, it can be priceless.
32. Talk less; listen more. Give the person your undivided attention, eg, not working, not
watching tv, not reading, etc.

33. Slow down. Remove all the stressors you can from your life as well as anxiety. Try to be as
calm and peaceful as possible.
38. Get some type of exercise every day for half an hour. Walking or dancing are the two easiest
ways to exercise. If you can't get outside, do it inside your home.
39. Seek encouragement and support from family and friends when trying to cope with events of
life that have disappointed or hurt you.
40. Openly discuss your feelings daily with your mate so that nothing begins to fester inside
either of you. Without open honest communications a relationship will fail. Keeping things
bottled up inside you will only cause diseases in you. Keep your Spirit open to your mate and to
God.
41. Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what might happen tomorrow and it
doesn't happen, you have wasted precious energy by worrying in vain. Even if it does happen,
you have had to worry twice.
43. Don't give your personal power away to others. If you do, you become nothing but a puppet
on a string. Reclaim your personal power, and get control of your own life.
44. Cleanse your body of parasites and pollutants twice a year to maintain good health.
45. Make a lifestyle change to include plenty of pure water, fresh fruits and vegetables, daily
aerobic exercise for 30 minutes, and doing a good deed without expecting something in return.
46. Begin a juicing program to juice your own fresh fruits and vegetables and see a difference in
your health.
47. Do not tell lies. Just be honest.
48. Take a good warm bath or shower and shampoo your hair every day to get rid of any
negativity you encounter that attaches itself to your aura and reground you.
50. Learn to pamper yourself sometimes as well as your family. If you don't take time to take
care of yourself, then no one else will do it for you either. You are much better at taking care of
others if you take care of yourself first.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
3. Buy a VCR or DVR and tape your tv shows to watch at another time, and get more sleep.

6. Play more games, and read more books than you did last year.
8. Spend time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6.
9. Dream more while you are awake. When you are asleep, let it be REM sleep, the kind that
your body can heal during.
10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants, and eat less food that is manufactured in
processing companies.
11. Drink green tea and plenty of pure water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli
florets, black olives, almonds, and walnuts.
12. Try to make at least five people smile each day.
13. Clear clutter from your house, your car, your desk, and let new and flowing energy into your
life. New doors open when old ones close.
14. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, or issues of the past, negative thoughts, or things
you cannot control. Instead, invest your energy in the positive present moment affirming only
good, good, good comes into your life.
15. Realize that life is a school, and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the
curriculum that appear and fade away, like a tough class in school, but the lessons you learn will
last a lifetime. Learn those lessons the first time, so you don't have to keep repeating them.
16. Eat breakfast like a king or queen, lunch like a prince or princess, and dinner like a college
student with a maxed out credit card. If you are overweight, set a goal to lose those extra pounds
and be healthy.
17. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the blues away. Affirm that your life is filled with joy,
joy, joy. Choose to be happy.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating or being jealous of anyone.
20. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
21. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree. Others have a right to their opinion
same as you.
22. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present. No one is perfect, not even you.
23. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about. Before
criticizing others, you need to walk a mile in their shoes. Don't ever assume anything until you
have all the facts.

24. No one is in charge of your happiness except you. Your own thoughts create your life so no
one is to blame for it but you if you are not happy.
25. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: In five years, will this matter?
26. Forgive everyone for everything. Don't hold grudges against anyone. It only hurts you.
29. However good or bad a situation is, it will change. Life is full of valleys AND mountains.
Learn to go with the flow of life.
30. 31. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful, or joyful. Anything you haven't used in six
months, give it away to someone who can use it.
32. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need. Don't ever be greedy. Share what
you have with others in need.

34. No matter how you feel, get up, get dressed, and show up.
35. Do the right thing always! Do everything like you are doing it for the Lord, and you won't
have any regrets later. When you do your best, that's all you can do.
39. Enjoy the ride. Remember life is not an amusement park, and you certainly don't want a fast
pass. You only have one ride through life so make the most of it always, and enjoy the ride.
Don't burn your candle at both ends, or it will soon meet in the middle.
40. Genuinely care about others. Show kindness towards all people because it costs nothing but a
bit of effort and can be priceless to the person to whom it is being given.
42. Stop procrastinating. Make a list of things you need to do each day, and prioritize them. Then
do them and mark them off as they are done each day.
44. Get an education. Nothing will hold you down like lack of an education. Believe in yourself,
that you can accomplish great things.
45. Don't wait for things to happen. Make them happen by visualizing them in your own mind.
46. In all things you do, always put God first, so that His blessings can be poured out upon you.
He always takes care of His Own.
47. Save a little money out of every check for a rainy day, no matter the amount. Every bit adds
up in the long run.
48. Make it a point to be peaceful, quiet, and clean in your home. Respect your neighbor's rights
as well as your own.

49. Avoid as many stress factors as you can each day, so you will be calmer, and your life won't
be dramatic or chaotic.
50. Do things that you enjoy doing, things that make you laugh and be happy.
51. Take a bath or shower every day. Wash your hair. Put on clean clothes. It will make you feel
better to look your best.
52. End every day by giving thanks to God for all your blessings.
