Name of the presenter


Andy Anderson is a Certified TOC Practitioner in Operations,
Distribution, Strategy, Project Management and Finance. His TOC
Consulting experience stretch over eighteen years, and covers both
local and international companies covering a wide range of
industries. Special focus areas include: Mining, Electricity and
Steam Generation, the Steel Industry (from coal and iron ore
mining through to retail, value adding processes and scrap
recovery).
Andy was the first to apply TOC concepts to Power Generation with
very good results; he presented a paper on his work to a TOC
International Convention held in George.
His work in CCPM for shutdown projects set new standards for
shutdown projects on large power plants, and he made
presentations on it at the Shutdown Project Management
Convention and the IQPC Shutdowns, Turnarounds & Outages
Conference 2011. He was instrumental in getting the CCPM
methodology adopted by ESKOM as integral part of their Outage
Management philosophy.

He revels in the challenge to resolve and find breakthroughs for


system problems and is known for successful implementations in
the not so conventional applications, e.g. in beneficiation plants,
call centres, safety, organization, procedures, ash handling
systems, to name but a few.
