sun and the moon are very far off. The stars are still farther away. That is why they appear
so small.

The sun appears like a bright shining ball in the sky. It is very hot. It gives us heat and
light. If the sun had been not there, the Earth would have been very cold and dark. We

The sun is much bigger than the earth. When the sun sets, it becomes
night.

THE STARS:

very big. They look so small because they are very far away. The sun is also a star. It is
much bigger than the Earth. Sun is closest to the Earth. The stars are there in the sky
even in the day time, but we cannot see them because the sun shines so brightly.

THE MOON:

The moon is closer to the Earth than the sun. It is smaller than the sun and
Earth. The moon does not have its own heat and light. It is cold and dark, and it
has no air. Sometimes we see full bright moon. Sometimes, we can only see a part of the
moon. Sometimes, we cannot see the moon at all.
We see the moon mostly in the night. But sometimes we can
see it in the day also. The moon does not give out light of its
own. We can see the moon when sunlight falls on it.

Hazrat Adam (A.S)

Many, many years ago, Allah made the Earth, the heaven, the sun and the
moon. He made the angels and the jinns. He then decided to create a man.
Allah told the angels about his decision. The angels asked Allah Why do you
want to create someone, who will make mischief and shed blood on earth
while we praise and worship you all the time? Allah Said I know what you do
not know. The angels were quiet.
Allah created Hazrat Adam (A.S) from clay. He gave him a good shape. He
breathed life into him. He gave him knowledge and taught him the name of
the things. He also made a friend for him, Hazrat Hawwa. Then Allah called
the angels and asked them the names of some things. The angels could not
tell their names. Allah asked Hazrat Adam (A.S) to say those names and he
did. Allah ordered the angels to bow down before Hazrat Adam (A.S). All of
them bowed except Ablis, who was a jinn. He refused to bow and disobeyed
Allah. When Allah asked him the reason, he replied I am better than him,
you have made me from fire. You have made him from clay. I will not bow
before him. For this disobedience and pride, Allah punished Iblis. He ordered
him to go away from heaven. Iblis said I am going to take revenge from
Hazrat Adam (A.S) and his children. I am going to misguide them till the Day
of Judgment. Allah said, The good people will not follow you, they will be
rewarded and will go to heaven. Those who follow you will be punished. They
will be thrown into hell.
Allah told Hazrat Adam (A.S) and Hazrat Hawwa to live in heaven. He told
them that they could eat the fruit of any tree in the garden except the fruit of
one particular tree. Now Iblis began to think of way to make Hazrat Adam
(A.S) and Hazrat Hawwa to disobey Allah. He tried again and again to make
them eat the fruit of the forbidden tree. At last he was successful, and they
ate the fruit of that tree. Allah was very angry he ordered them to leave
heaven and go and live on earth.
Hazrat Adam (A.S) and Hazrat Hawwa were very sorry. They wept and wept
and asked Allah to forgive them. Allah forgave them. He warned them that if

if they followed the guidance sent by Allah from time to time, he would reward
