Real time Interpretation of hydraulic fracturing pressure by

including new terms in basic continuity equation.

Abstract
Interpretation of hydraulic fracturing pressure data is the
foundation of evaluating hydraulic fractures. It provides real
time means of checking and refining of input data and
assumptions used to design the hydraulic fracturing treatment.
In this paper I will try to combine the fracture propagation
model developed by Perkins and Kern (1961) and refined by
Nordgren (1972) with the basic continuity equation which is
generated by simple material balance of hydraulic fracturing
fluid. The resultant equation gives
better real time
interpretation such as confined height unrestricted extension,
unstable growth & unstable height etc as compared to given
by Nolte smith method (1981).
