F5 vLab Introduction
F5 VLAB INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the F5 Virtual Environment (vLab) setup and hands-on exercise series.
The purpose of the vLab Setup and Configuration Guide is to walk you through the setup of a VMware
Workstation virtual environment on your laptop, and the configuration of a BIG-IP Virtual Edition (VE)
system image.
Subsequent documents use the vLab environment to give you hands-on experience with F5 products and
solutions. You can use these exercises to learn F5 product features and to give customer demonstrations.
The instructions for demonstrations and learning exercises use a UCS archive file that works in this
environment (if you follow these setup instructions, as written).
