IN APPRECIATION ...
.. to the hundreds of dedicated
women and men who lend their
hands and hearts and thousands
of volunteer working hours both before and during Congress to help make this event
a success ...
AND
IN REMEMBRANCE ...
... To Felix and Dorothy Giroux,
two volunteers who truly knew
the meaning of following Christ.
They spent myriads of hours
at many tasks, but especially
processing Congress registration
forms - a job they perfected.
Their inner joy and Christian love
spread to all who knew them.
Both Dorothy and Felix died
this past year.
We salute them, love them,
and miss them.
But we know they are with us in spirit.
May their rewards in heaven be great,
for their devotion to God's work
here on earth.

Dear friends:
The annual Religious Education Congress is an
event dear to the heart.
It is a time of spiritual significance: laity
and priests and religious - the Church itself - coming together to share in learning pro~esses, more fervent prayer
experiences, and that indescribable inner peace and joy
wherein we are called to dwell by the Spirit of the Lord.
It is an all too brief three days in which to
refresh the soul before returning to our homes, our offices,
our classrooms.
It is a moment of time, focusing on a love so
great that we are awed by its beauty and humbled by its
message.
It is a time when dedicated people renew their
determination to pursue Jesus' command, "COME, FOLLOW ME".
Our congratulations and prayerful blessings to
all those whose work has made this Congress possible, and
to all the delegates who attend.
Devotedly in Christ,
HIS EXCELLENCY
WILLIAM R. JOHNSON
