A few maybe useful advices

Albanian LEK
You should be aware that there is a confusion for foreigners using the
Albanian LEK, as to our every day speaking, and quite often, we add a
zero to the formal value; for instance if in the banknote is written 100
LEK, we could also say 1000 LEK. However the formal bills always show
the standard expression. Just to have an idea the average coffee price is
about 80 LEK, a bottle of water 80 LEK, a bottle of beer varying 150-500
LEK.
Driving
In Albania is quite challenging and dangerous for foreigners! Also as a
pedestrian is not easy, as usually the drivers respect the traffic light, but
NOT the white lines. Please be careful and always check when you pass
the road!!!
TAP water
Generally the TAP water is not recommended for drinking. Even though
local authorities will confirm that tap water is within drinkable
parameters, we recommend you not to drink it. Instead you can buy
water in big bottles for house usage of 5 litters or in smaller quantities.
Still you dont need to use the bought water for washing the dishes as the
tap water is not contaminated or something like this. It is just not of good
taste or perhaps it contains too much of chlorine in it.
