Family Interview
Before conducting the family interview provide the following definitions:
Define nationality

Define ethnicity

Define culture

Define cultural heritage

Conduct an interview with a minimum of one family member and provide the following:
What is your nationality and ethnicity?

List at least one country your ancestors are from

List any elements of cultural heritage that your family practices (Ex. traditions, etiquette,
customs).

After conducting the interview write a reflection that that explains how your nationality, ethnicity
and cultural heritage are factors in forming your identity. The reflection needs to also include
why you thinks its important to learn about heritage. The written reflection needs to be a
minimum of five sentences long. After writing the reflection choose two cultural heritage
elements and make a simple sketch of each one in your sketchbook.
