Problem (1)
In the mechanism shown, link 2 is rotating CW at the constant rate of 4 rad/s.
In the position shown, is 53o. Determine: vC, 3, 4.
Link Lengths: AB = 100 mm, BC = 160 mm, CD = 200 mm

Problem (2)
In the mechanism shown, link 2 is rotating CW at the constant rate of 100 rad/s.
In the position shown, link 2 is horizontal. Determine: vC, 3
Link lengths: AB = 60 mm, BC = 200 mm

Problem (3)
For the straight-line mechanism shown in the figure, 2 = 20 rad/s (CW) and
2 = 140 rad/s2 (CW). Determine the velocity of point B.

-4-

Problem (4)
In the mechanism shown, vA = 15 m/s with direction downward. Draw the
velocity diagram, and determine the velocity of point D and angular velocity
of link 5.
AC = 60 cm
BD = 90 cm
BC = 30 cm

Problem (5)
In the drag-link mechanism shown, link 2 is turning CW at the rate of 130
rpm. Construct the velocity diagram and compute the following: vE, vF, and
the angular velocity of link 5.
Given: mL = 10 cm/cm

-6-

Problem (6)
For the linkage given, 2 = 10 rad/s CCW. ( mL = 10 cm/cm)
Draw the velocity diagram and hence find 3, 6, vE, and vD.
