First you need to spread out the yarn and

look at the netting. The part that is thick is
the bottom or the edging, it is what ruffles.
The thinner side with the spaced out
netting is the top and what we will be
crocheting into.
Make a Flirty Spring Scarf for the warm

pattern you'll want to make right now! Use

What we are doing is a chain, take turns

one or two holes.

pull tight against edge; repeat from *
attaching 5 fringes evenly spaced along end
of scarf. Repeat on other end of scarf. Trim
fringes to approx. 7"/18 cm long.

beautiful crocheted scarves you are bound
to come across. Use two contrasting colors
to get the best look. Hairpin lace has never
looked this good. Make your spring scarf

Yarn 2 skeins Grignasco Kid Silk

Five. One skein in the shade
#1118 and one in the shade #1117.
75% mohair and 25% silk, 25g/0,88
ounce 125m/137 yards. This type
mohair yarn is a little thick
compared to many others. I
deliberately chose it, because with a
thinner mohair yarn, you will have
to make more loops to achieve the
desired width of the scarf.
Some thin, white cotton yarn as
safety line for the loops.
Pearls About 150 small pink glass
pearls and 14 dark red glass pearls,
slightly larger than the pink pearls.
Hook 3 mm US: 2/C

Pattern
Put the two prongs on your hairpin lace
loom 8cm/3 inches apart.

Yarn Weight: (5) Bulky/Chunky (12-15
stitches for 4 inches)
Start working with the light coloured yarn.

String about 10 light pink pearls onto the
yarn. Work 28 loops on each side. Place the
pearls evenly on the left and right side of
the center. Tie a strand of waste line
around the left and right loops. That way
your loops dont twist around and theyll
stay organized. Cut yarn and weave in ends.
Make 14 hairpin lace pieces like that first
one.

Now you want to join your hairpin lace

pieces with the darker coloured yarn.
The edgings of the scarf are crocheted this

way: String 7 dark red beads onto the yarn.
Row 1 [Grab 4 loops of a hairpin lace piece

and crochet 10 chains. 1 slip stitch around
the next 4 loops] Repeat 6 times.
Row 2 Now you join another hairpin piece
to the one where you crocheted the loops
together.
Row 1 [Grab 4 loops of a hairpin lace piece

and crochet 10 chains. 1 slip stitch around
the next 4 loops] Repeat 6 times.
Row 2 [ Chain 16, 1 slip stitch 7 chains from
hook to form a small ring. Continue working
into this ring: 1 single crochet, chain 3, 2
double crochets, chain 3, 1 single crochet,
chain 3, 1 double crochet, place one bead
close to hook, 1 double crochet, chain 3, 1
single crochet, chain 3, 2 double crochets,
chain 3, 1 single crochet, 4 chains, 1 slip

where the hairpin loops are gathered.]
Repeat between brackets 7 times. Weave
in ends.
Chain 7, [1 slip stitch around 4 loops of new

hairpin lace piece, chain 5, 1 slip stitch in
other hairpin lace piece's middle of 10
chains below, chain 5] Repeat 6 times. 1 slip
stitch into last loop. Chain 7 and crochet a
slip stitch into starting chain.
Repeat row 1 and 2 13 times, so all 14
hairpin lace pieces are joined.
Please see the crochet chart below for a
visual instruction. The chart doesnt show
the width of the work, but is an example, if
the scarf would be 16 loops wide. The first
row is shown in black and the second row is
green.
Repeat row 1 and 2 for other side of scarf.

Artfully Simple Infinity Scarf

Use your imagination with this free crochet
pattern. This Artfully Simple Infinity Scarf
can be made with any size hook and yarn of
your choice. All you need is one skein of
your favorite yarn, and you're all set. The
cute button embellishment is optional and
easy to attach once you're finished,
crocheting directions are included. This
crocheted scarf will measure between 50
and 60 inches when complete.
Materials:
US K, 6.5mm hook
US I, 5.5mm hook (optional, for
making tie on button only)
280 yds worsted weight yarn (Red
Heart Boutique Unforgettable in
Tidal shown)
Optional: Button (1 1/4 or 32mm
button shown)
NOTE: This pattern is worked in a
spiral, so there is no join at the end
of the rounds.
How to keep it SIMPLE while making this

Crochet Hook: G/6 or 4 mm hook
1. If the starting chain is twisting up on

you, try to straighten it out for the
first stitch, but dont worry about
getting out every twist a couple
twists are good! Keep going!
2. If you finish the first round and find
out youve started with an off
number of chains, pretend as if
theyre there, stick with the pattern
and just keep going!
3. If you realize you skipped a stitch 2
rows ago, just keep going!
4. If you run out of yarn before you get
through all the rows? Well then
stop, because youre out of yarn,
silly. Just skip to the end of the
pattern and finish off as directed!
Though you might want to pull out a
row to make the tie at the end.

Heres a Chart to help you visualize how it

Now for the actual Instructions:

To start: Using K hook, ch 210.
Round 1: Work a sc in the first ch made,
making the loop to work in the round. Dc in
the next ch. *Ch 5, sk 5 ch, dc in the next 2
ch. Repeat from * until you have reached
the end of the loop and there are
approximately 5 chains left unworked.
Round 2: Ch 5, sk the remaining unworked
starting chains and the sc from Round 1. Dc
in the first dc from Round 1, then dc again
in the ch 5 sp. *Ch 5, sk next dc, dc in the
next dc and the ch 5 sp. Repeat from * until
end of round.
Rounds 3 20: Continue working [ch 5, sk
next dc, dc in the next dc and the ch 5 sp] in
a continuous spiral. The pattern will seem
to slant to the left as you work, as seen
below. Stop when you count 20 rows of
mesh, or when youre almost out of yarn.
To finish off, ch 5, sk next dc, sc in the next
dc, and use seamless join in the next ch.
Weave in ends.

Instructions for the Button Tie

Embellishment (optional):
1. Thread button on remaining yarn

using a sewing or tapestry needle.
Using I hook, ch for 18.
2. Slip the button down close to the
hook, and skipping over the button,
sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook
(trapping the button in the loop). Sl
st back along ch for approximately
6 or until this sl st section is long
enough to fit around cowl when
doubled, with a little bit of tension.
3. Ch 8 sts (for size button shown) or
long enough to create a loop that
fits tightly around the button. Sl st in
the same ch as last sl st, sl st in next
2 ch.
4. Ch to same length as remaining
unworked ch, approximately 12.
Break yarn and finish off ends.
5. To wear, slip button behind cowl
and pull it toward the front. Pass
button through loop made in Step 3.
Let ends fly and jet off to the spa! Or
wherever you want to look fabulous.

Unforgettable if you are going to
substitute.

You will be making this scarf in two

different sections and then sewing
them together. You will do this so
that the Crocodile Stitch is going
down on both sides of your body.
The seam for the two coming
together is at the back of your neck.
Each section will get 2 yarn balls.
Crochet with those until they are
finished up. When finishing, ensure
your law row is a scale stitch and not
the back supporting section.
If your ball has a knot and tie due to
manufacturing, simply cut out the
knot and crochet as normal. IF the
knot has two different yarn colours
tied together, ensure you crochet
this on the back supporting section
and not the scale. This way you can
guarantee the entire scale going
across is looking consistent in colour
and not suddenly changing colour
that is visibly noticeable on the
scales.

Pattern:
(You will have only 3 scales across).
1. CH 21
6. Repeat Step 4 - 6 for two yarn balls.

Fasten off when both balls are used.
2. DC 3rd stitch from the hook. *CH 2

and skip 2 stitches on the chain. DC
twice into the next stitch. Repeat *
for entire chain. Turn (This causes
the stitches to be in groups of two
and is the foundation behind the
scales for the entire project.
3. CH 3, DC 4 times down post of the
first DC of previous row. CH 1, DC 5
times up the next post, *CH 1, Skip
next two DC posts, DC 5 times down
the next DC Post, CH 1, DC 5 times
up the next DC Post. Repeat * for
the remainder. Turn (You will have 4
scales).
7. Side 2 will be identical to what you

have done above. Complete an
identical section. When finished,
sew the two together by sewing
them on the underside of the scales.
My example ended the scales with
three scales on both sides, yours
may vary depending on yarn length.
You may want to ensure both sides
of the scarves have the same scale
counts to look consistent.
4. CH 1 and SL ST into the gap space

between the 2 DC Posts below (this
prevents the scale from being forced
to collapse on itself). Ch 3, 1 DC into
the space between the two DC Posts
below. *CH 2, 2 DC into the next
space between the two DC posts
below. Repeat * all the way across.
Turn.
5. These scales will fall directly
between the scales seen on the row
below. CH 1, SK first 2 DC posts and
immediately DC 5 times down next
DC Post, CH 1, *DC 5 times up the
next DC Post. CH 1, SKIP next two DC
Posts and immediately DC 5 Times
Down the next DC Post. CH1 Repeat
* to the end. Last stitch you will do a
single crochet into the gap space
between the final two DC Posts.

A large blunt tapestry needle

With a 4mm hook, chain 31.

3. Work in groups of 6 BL loops. Make

Worsted weight (size 4 medium) yarn or Aran in UK.
Hook I (5.5mm)
Two 3/4 inch wooden buttons
Size
Pattern is written for a 30 inch long scarf that can be wound around the neck using 2 wooden
buttons attached at either end. You can make it as long or wide as you want.

Gauge
You chain as long as you want your scarf to be and repeat the rows till you get your desired
width. So it is not important to work a gauge swatch.
Yardage
To make a 30 inches long scarf you will need around 450 yards of yarn.

Pattern is in standard American terms.
sc- single crochet
sl st- slip stitch
dc- double crochet
ch- chain

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 alternately till your scarf is as thick as you want. You shouldn't forget to sl
st to the top of chain 3 when you work Row 2, as that is counted as a dc stitch too. Fasten off.
Finishing
1. Weave in the ends and sew on two wooden buttons at either end of the scarf on the side that
shows only the double crochet stitches. The spaces between the double crochet stitches can be
used as button holes.

name of this pattern came out to be Berries
in the Snow Scarf. When following the
crochet scarf pattern you'll see that it twists
if you don't block it, resulting in a fun and
unique scarf. This is an easy crochet pattern
and great for the holiday season.
4 ply yarn.... I use Red Heart team

spirit burgundy ( looks red to
me) and white
J hook ( I am using my J a lot lately)
* in this scarf you always want to dc
around your chain 6 NEVER dc
around your triple* This scarf was
inspired by queen anne's lace
Pattern:
Motif 1
chain 6, triple ( total of 4 loops pull
through 2 at a time) crochet into the
first chain, turn, chain 3, 11 dc, ( 12 dc
total first chain 3 counts as dc) chain 3
turn, sc, into the top of the first dc,
chain 3 and sc into each stitch
Motif 2 and every other motif
** You want to alternate the curve part
of your motif so TURN every time you
start a new motif.

See how I chained and turned on the triple
crochet so the chain part was opposite of
the last motif? YOU always want that.
At this point you turn and chain 3 and do 11

** Full o Sheep is a heavier worsted
