2 Changes of the new century

During twenty centuries, people got a lot of great achievements in many fields of
society, such as economy, education or health care services, but we also made a lot
of troubles such as environmental pollution or wars. Nowadays, we have entered to
21st century with both excitement and doubt about what new century will bring us.
As far as I am concerned, I assume that people will have big changes in
communication and health care services because of the Internet and medical
science.
To begin with, along with the development of the Internet and computer technology,
the ways that people use to communicate to others will change in the new century.
The Internet will be applied to all fields in society and all devices; as a result, people
can access to Internet whenever they need. For instance, instead of going to
schools, all students can study at home with online courses, so more students can
approach some famous university without going abroad. Beside, the traditional
communication such as letter or telephone will gradually disappear because people
can contact to others easily and conveniently through the Internet for a very cheap
price.
In addition, in the new century, people can live longer because of the improving of
health care services. It is undeniable that medical science got great
accomplishments in the 20th century, but people still have to face a lot of
hazardous diseases, such as cancer or HIV when the 21st century has begun.
However, people should be optimistic because these diseases can be treated in the
new century thanks to the development of the medical science. Moreover, medical
scientists can use artificial components to replace some parts of body which are
damaged or spoiled, such as artificial eyes, heart, hands or legs. Consequently, the
better health care will make people in the new century have better lives, and they
can enhance their ages.
In brief, the 21st century will bring us a lot of changes which cannot be anticipated
by anyone. For the reasons that I mentioned above, I believe that communication
and health care areas will have great changes in the new century because of the
strong development of science and technology.
