Thank you for your generous offer of a summer electrical engineering internship at
ABC Company. I really enjoyed meeting you during our interview, and I appreciate
the time you spent describing the position and the near-term direction of the
company.
ABC Company is a great organization and this internship would provide me with
outstanding experience that is in line with my career goals. However, after much
consideration and consultation with my family, I have decided to take additional
classes this summer rather than pursue an internship. This was a difficult decision
for me, but ultimately I am looking forward to getting ahead with my coursework so
that I can focus my efforts on an internship next year.
