1. TOP OF RESERVOIR MAP

Based on the top of reservoir mapped on the surface, the dark blue indicates
shallower depth while increasing depth shows transition from blue to brown. The
surface shows that the area of A is the deepest part of the map while the middle
part of the surface is dipping from B to B as B is deeper than B. Just before the
critical fall in depth at A, there exist a high ground as indicated with the dark
blue colour. This may be evidence of a buildup of structure just before the fall of
depth.

2. AVERAGE POROSITY AND ISOPACH MAP

A
AVERAGE POROSITY MAP

The average porosity map shows transition of high porosity from dark red to light
red indicating low porosity. The high porosity area is located near the centre of
the map while the surrounding areas are indicated as low porosity. There are a
few areas with moderate porosity on the lower left of the map and also upper
right section of the map.

A
ISOCHORE MAP

The Isochore map shows variation of thickness around the map, transitioning
from red which is high thickness towards blue which is low thickness. The high
thickness are monopolised from B to B. Areas A and A is indicated as low
thickness.

3. GEOLOGIC SECTION A A AND B B OF THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF

THE RESERVOIR

TO
BOTTO

TO

B
BOTTO

The cross section of A and B points on the map are illustrated in the diagram
above. For cross section of A, the reservoir ends with a huge drop in depth at A,
while for B the reservoir seems to only have a low dip towards B. However, for
the bottom of the reservoir, both of the cross section shows a structure of a drop
in depth in middle. This may due to stratigraphic movements that have happen
previously before the reservoir is deposited, thus the bottom follows the
structure of previous deposited layer.

4. EVALUATE THE VARIATION OF POROSITY WITHIN THE RESERVOIR

SECTION
POROSI

A
THICKN

POROSI
B

THICKN
Based on the diagram above, the cross section between thickness and porosity
of A A and B B shows that the porosity is focused on the areas with higher
thickness. So, higher thickness produces higher porosity areas compared to
areas with low thickness shows low porosity present.

5. WITH REFERENCE TO THE SECTIONS AND MAPS ABOVE,

DEMONSTRATE THE RESERVOIR QUALITY, SUCH AS IN TERMS OF SAND
THICKNESS AND POROSITIES.

A good reservoir quality has a good

porosity and also good thickness. The
map given shows that location
marked with X is the area which has
a high average porosity which may
indicate sand and great thickness.
This is also located on top of the area
which have a fall in depth at the
bottom surface due to previous
deposits. This may be concluded as
the expected reservoir shows the
characteristics of a channel which
provide great porosity and thickness.
