shoulder shaping bias bind off
Note: I used the talented Julie Weisenbergers genius Bias Bind
Off technique for the shaping of the shoulders. Please check out
her site for a picture tutorial and a collection of her wonderful
patterns: http://cocoknits.com/resources/tutorials/bias-bind-off/

back
Repeat instructions as for front knitting to 13 (15) from cast on
edge instead, approximately 126 (146) rows. Follow the same
instructions for sleeve increases and shoulder shaping bias bind off.
You should now have two matching pieces with the exception of
the additional 3 inches in length on the back piece.
side seams
With RS facing and starting at the bottom edge, ease the two
pieces (front & back) together using mattress stitch and doubling
up on the ladders on the longer back piece approximately every
4th stitch/ladder while seaming up to the under arms on each side
seam, finish seaming to sleeve edge at a one-to-one ratio. Tip: I
seamed together the first two columns of knit stitches closest to the edges on
each side.
bottom hem
With WS facing and starting at one of the side seams, pick up
approximately 156 (176) sts along bottom edge. Do not join in the
round and turn work. Now with RS facing, bind off all stitches
using the I-cord BO method (see stitch glossary). Use tail to seam
together the gap once bind off is completed.
shoulder seams
With RS facing, pick up 26 (32) sts each along right front and right
back shoulder edges. With front of sweater facing you and using
Three-needle BO method (see stitch glossary), bind off all stitches.
Repeat for left shoulder.
Alternatively you can sew shoulder seams together.
