VISION Hardware
System components
VISION is designed based on an open standard system philosophy.
By avoiding proprietary solutions, and utilizing global standards
such as Windows and TCP/IP protocols, a hotel has full flexibility
when it comes to selecting servers and workstations and integrating
VISION to the hotel's IT environment. Beside minimizing investment
and easing service and maintenance, this philosophy is also your
guarantee for dynamic future technology developmens and
seamless interface to other vendors.

Encoders
VISION offers a wide selection of high quality motorized encoders
for accurate and rapid card encoding. Any number of encoders can
be connected directly to the hotel's LAN, and multi-track encoding
allows additinal guest and billing data to be written on track 1 and
2 for POS purposes.

Operational efficiency
VISION is not only powerful and flexible, it is also designed to
maximize your hotel's operational efficiency.

Advanced client server database technology

VISION is based on a robust and advanced client server SQL database.
This ensures fast and reliable operations for set-ups of any size, and
prevents the overall system from going down if a terminal crashes.
The advanced database technology also gives you the option for
the system to auto-backup data during operations. This means that
the system never needs to shut down to perform manual backup
operations. The SQL database represents outstanding security for
your hotel. The database files are well protected by a high security
encryption and also the data itself is encrypted by VingCard's own
high security encryption scheme.

Powerful reporting capabilities

With VISION you get powerful reporting capabilities to enhance
your hotel's security and operations. All system activity is logged in
detail, so nothing can be done without leaving a trace about who
has done what and when. Pre-defined report templates and sort
functions make it easy for you to extract exactly the information
you need. All reports can be saved in pdf (portable document
format), which means that you can view them exactly as they look
on the screen from all major word processors.

network. No external interface is required.

VingCard interfaces with PMS via RS-232.
