industry relevant knowledge and skills in IT ideal for the 21 st century work environment.

Operational Feasibility
NB: You May Quantify Where Necessary.
The projects main sponsor is the department of ICT. The system request initiated by a team
selected from the lecturer population and headed by the HOD, Dr. Aidoo.
The request was mainly due to complaints from the targeted users (lecturers and students) about
increasing inconvenience and dissatisfaction with the limited time set for teaching and learning
purposes and lecturer-student interactions. It is safe to say that the users, who are the main
stakeholders and beneficiaries, supports the proposed system.
The current system, which is the traditional method of lecturer-student interaction, has been an
issue constantly raised by both lecturers and students alike as colloquial and needed changing.
Even though still used, they do not find it effective. They have been leading the line for a change
and hence the system request.
The proposed system will not result in workforce reduction and will only consolidate the teaching
and learning activities of the users. The system only seeks to add value to the operations of the
users.

After the development of the proposed system, training will be conducted for the users.
Management has made a full commitment to be cooperative with any phase of the system
development and the eventual deployment of the proposed system.
The introduction of the proposed system will augment the teaching activities of the lecturers and
the learning processes of the students. The users are required to have a minimal understanding
of ICTs and the operations of a computer. The introduction of the system will somewhat
automate, improve and extend certain aspects of the lecturer-student interaction. This improved
and extended interaction can be maximized when the users have knowledge of the use of
computers and maybe possesses a personal computer.
The introduction of the proposed system will anything but stain the image or goodwill of the ICT
department. The department should be seen as the forerunners as far as the effective and proper
integration ICTs in education is concerned and the proposed system will make firm the
departments good image if not elevate it.
There is the likelihood that both lecturer and student performance may decline in some ways.
This may be attributed to the users trying to get accustomed to the new system which may take
a while(3months) but will eventually lead to overall increase in performance and maximized
operations. Even though this decline may occur, it will be temporary and will be eliminated once
the users are fully acclimatized to the operations of the system.
The design of the system will be done at the end of the academic year when there is no serious
academic work so as not to interrupt the activities of the lecturers and students. The planning
and testing stages of the system will be done in the course of the academic year when it is
expected to have as many users present as possible. The reason for the timing is to have
maximum and representative user involvement in the project.
Since the system will be keep both the information of lecturers and students, the scores and
grades of students, it is imperative that the system secures the information contained in it and
only made available to those privy of that particular information.
