0 Tilling
5.1 Surface Preparation For Tilling
1) Check floor level from 1000 level line. If floor level is more than the finish floor
level, then chip that area.
2) Then chip the floor very clearly and remove all dusts.
3) Finally clean and wash the floor crystal clearly.

5.2 Tile Bed

Fist check floor level and then put some level points. At that time we should reduce
the tile thickness.

When we putting level points we should consider what is the slopes and where should we
slope. (If it is bathroom or balcony)

Then put chemefix mixed with water to the floor. Here we put grouts to the floor.
Actually before drying grouts we should put mortar to the floor.
Mortar mixture is 1:3 or 1:4(cement: sand). Here we should remember to put suitable
amount of water to the mortar mixture.
Finally compact and level the tile bed.

5.3 Making Survey Lines For Tilling

When we making survey lines for tilling work we should consider more things.
They are
1) Doors and passage arrangement.
2) Minimum wastage of material.
3) Shower area arrangement.
4) Tile laying system.
5) What size tile we are using.

6) What size rove we are leaving.

a. Groove size is P

For horizontally;
No of full tile (Q) =X/ (O+P)
Then,
Z={X- (O+P)*Q}/2
For vertically;
No of full tile (Q) =Y/(R+P)
Then,
W= {Y- (R+P)*Q}/2

5.4 Method of Fixing

First take correct tile and after that select tiles by using dummy tile.
Then make some grouts to paste the tile.
Lay this grout on the tile bed by using tilling trowel or put some grouts to the back side of
the tile.
Then lay this tile according to the tile marking.
Groove sizes are 1.5mm &3mm.
And also we can use tile spacers to maintain the tile groove
Near the corners we should put corner beadings. To prevent tile damaging & take good
look.
On the bathroom we should leave space for gullies & other fittings.
