Effects of Structure
PROSODY: The ways that the structure supports, enhances, and reinforces the meaning of
the lyric. Generally, either by creating BALANCE/RESOLUTION/STABILITY or
IMBALANCE/TENSION/INSTABILITY.
CONTRAST: Creating effective contrast between different section types (eg between verse
and chorus).
