effective teacher in the future it is important to have the necessary skills in having a wellmanaged learning environment.

An Observation Guide for Classroom Management

Observe the class at least twice. Focus on how the teacher manages the classroom by
using supportive measures in the following areas:
a Organizational plan. Is the classroom structured or flexible? Is instruction
carried individually, by group? Or both?
b Schedule. How are activities scheduled? Is time allotted properly for each
activity? What activities are planned as fillers?
c Record Keeping. How is attendance monitored? Does the teacher have record
book? Do the students have individual portfolio to file actual records of scored
tests, assignments, artwork, etc.
d Physical Environment. How is cleanliness maintained? Is there proper
ventilation? Lighting? Is the noise level appropriate? How are bulletin boards
and displays arranged? How is seating arranged? Is the seating arrangement
suited to learners? Do the classroom furniture match the size of the students?
e Discipline. How is discipline established? Is the approach to discipline
preventive? Describe?
f Routines. How are routines established? What procedures are in place?

As I observed, the rooms have their posted quotations in their wall that add the
motivation in the students. The rooms are clean but in the class that I observed the
arrangements of the seats of the students are not properly arranged so some of the
students are not focused on the lesson. The teacher imposes rules and she always
reminds her students regarding their rules. The teacher is not roaming around the
classroom while she is discussing thats why she cannot notice that some students are
not listening. Her voice is loud because she have a lapel and it helps to catch the
attentions of her students.

The Classroom environment is clean. It also helps the student to have a better learning
process if the area is clean it motivate the students to learn more and it will not hinder their
learning process.

As I observed, the teachers classroom environment least effective is in arrangement of the
seats of the students. The students are not properly arranged and I think that it affects their
learning and in focusing on the discussion because some students are not listening to their
teacher.

Suggest more effective ways for your answer in number 2.

My suggestion is to arrange the seats properly where the teacher can monitor all the
students and where he can move all around the classroom. The seatmates of the students should
be arranged because as I observed the boys are in the same row who are noisy and not listening
to their teacher.

the classroom to see what are his/her students doing and A teacher who is creative that

I think the characteristics I have is I have a one word teacher. It means that what I
say is what I do. I think it helps me to manage my classroom because when I imposed my
rules I will follow and do it so the students will also follow what the teacher says.

effective classroom manager? How can you overcome these characteristics?
I think my voice will be the characteristics that can hamper me from becoming an
effective classroom manager. But I know I can make it better and there are tools that can
be use like lapel.
