En el presente estudio, se dise una cortina para incrementar el bajo rendimiento del rotor de viento
savonius y el efecto se analiz experimental y numricamente. Se la coloco frente al rotor para evitar el
torque que ocurre en el aspa convexa del rotor en direccin negativa. Las mediciones experimentales y
los anlisis numricos han sido realizados en el savonius con y sin cortina. El mejor resultado se
obtuvo con la cortina. Se obtuvieron valores bajos del torque esttico con una cortina
corta, mientras se adquiri un considerable incremento del torque con la cortina larga.
1. Introduccion
Es un hecho bien conocido que la poblacin mundial est aumentando

Por otra parte, Saha Alfor realizo un estudio experimental con lminas
retorcidas fabricados a partir de tiras de bamb para pequeos
consumos en zonas rurales. Grinspan ha llevado a cabo experimentos
para desarrollar tres palas rotores rectas y curvas convencionales
mediante el uso de un tipo de perfil aerodinmico y hojas de tipo
trenzado. Tambin hay algunos otros estudios de diseo y desarrollo de
pequeos rotores Savonius para la produccin local de electricidad.he

En el presente estudio, se dise un arreglo de cortina para desviar el
viento con el fin de aumentar el bajo rendimiento del rotor. Este arreglo
es simple y barato, ya que se compone de hojas de metal planas.
Mientras que el rotor elico es esttico, el efecto de este arreglo con
cortinas en los valores de par se ha analizado tanto experimental como
