Transition: When I say go, students will

walk to the water fountain for a quick
water break and walk back and sit on
their poly spot.
Set Induction: Hey class! How are we
doing today? Awesome! Today we are
going to be continuing our football unit!
To start off we are going to learn 3
different routes to run in football. The
first route is a slant route where you run
at angle (Demonstration). The next route
is a hook route where you run straight
and hook to the outside (Demonstration).
The final route is a GO route where you
run straight forward and wait for the pass.
Im going to put everyone in a group of
four and I want you to line up behind the
cone I assign to you.
Purpose: To learn the fundamentals of
passing and catching a football while
running a route.
Transition N/A
Lesson Core - Task 1: Students are
going to practice running different routes.
They will start at the cone designated to
their group of 4 students and begin with
slant routes. The student at the front of
the line will run the route while the
second person in line will throw the ball.
The catcher will bring the ball back to the
line and give it to the next thrower. The
thrower will then become the receiver.
This will be done for hook routes and GO
routes as well.
Demonstration Plan: This activity will be
demonstrated by the teacher and the ET.
