DO GRADES ENCOURAGE LEARNING

Grades encourage and motivate students to learn for success.Grades are very good
indicators of knowledge and it encourage students to learn but, it depends on students if they
want to have good grades or bad grades. As modern education continues to become more and
more liberal in character, the usefulness of grades as a form of as assessment has been called into
question. Some teachers think that grades are very necessary because it can encourage students
to learn.
According to Pike, Interesting and relevant assignments, timely feedback, connection
between student and teacher, connection among students, meaningful use of timethese things
motivate learning. Thinking more explicitly about grading and evaluation, finding out what
students experience by asking them, and reconsidering what grading does motivate, we can
unleash new practices that just work better for all of us.
All of the sudden, the activities in school that interest student motivate to study and learn
from the things that teachers would teach them. Evaluation and grading specify on how the
student progress in their quality of learning and the knowledge that they gain for their learning.
We students would think of what activities would be gathered for us to learn and what are the
specific qualification that can possibly help us think that school is important in learning and
learning can help us reach for success and encounter the goals in which we students, wish for
everything in the future. From the experiences weve been through, we could say that school
activities could matter in the way of students inspires and express the teaching of the teacher
through the learning of the students. Such a way, students find simple way for them to learn
something in an easy and interesting to learn from the school teaching.

One of the first things the faculty researchers noted was that participation and discussion
were regularly combined with other aspects of student behaviorthings like attendance,
punctuality, meeting deadlines, quiz scores and following assignment instructions. A full 77% of
the syllabi in this collection included some sort of active learning calculation in the final course
grade. Over half combined it with some collection of items like those listed above. On average,
this active learning component counted for under 13% of the total course gradecompared with
almost 63% for exams and almost 22% for research papers or essays (Meryellen Weimer, 2011 ).
Interesting and relevant assignments and activities motivate students. It shows that
grades in different activities matters in the way of how students handle the activity in different
conformity in grading relatively of the students motivation. Specifically, connection between the
students and teacher also matter on how students will be motivated in the way of how the teacher
will treat his or her students in class.
There are such things that teachers can help students to learn in different activities. The teachers
should explain in the way to let the students understand what the activity is talking about, the
students should participate and encounter the thing of what the activities is encouraging the
students to do, the reward and care, make learning visuals and many more. Some of them really
help the students think that interesting and relevant students motivates them in the way of their
participation.
Teachers care for students motivate them. Students are dependent to the teachers that
they can motivate their selves to learn and encourage their selves to attend classes and not miss
any lessons that they have to encounter. Students expects teachers not to shout at them, show a
good personality, tells us what the students done all, and to remember that teachers appreciates
the work of the students. It is important to students on how the teachers treat them and show care

for them. Students will attend to an adult who appears to be a "real person," who had problems
as a youth (or more recently) and survived them. This is a conformity of letting the students
motivate and encourage to learn for success. In the other hand, there are specifically other things
that teachers would care for the students and point out grades encourage and motivate students to
learn. The care of the teachers to the students really motivates the students to listen and learn
from their discussion and other activities in which they would be interested to learn and
participate from their lessons.
Students lead busy lives: they have to balance their coursework, jobs, family and
social responsibilities, internship or volunteer hours and, of course, have some rest and
relaxation! To experience academic success, its essential that they put effective time
management skills, habits, and strategies into place (Strang, Tami 2015, February).
In real life situation, some students have time management for their studies and they also
find time to overcome happiness to chill their selves from stress in school and from full load of
assignments that is given to them. Time management is really important for students especially
in college. Some students have encountered depression as they go through different problems in
school and even in life instead. Managing their time helps them how they can possibly get
through the things they need to do. It is considered that time is the most valuable things in life as
it go through things and to let you know that the things to which the clock strikes to motivate
students and warn the things that could alarm their selves and manage and take the time not in
waste but in useful way.
Students involving different academic organization can motivate and encourage them to
focus more on their studies. It gives an acknowledgement to students that time management and
the organization are possible to give the student encouragement and think that it matters for them

that grades would motivate them in time of sortation of accessing their abilities. Time
management balances their duties and take the ability of pertaining the skills and the grades
confronting the responsibility for their success. It is well defined that time management and
academic organization carry an access to the success of the student.

There are other things that grades can give a chance to the students. The opportunities can
give an advantage to the students in having a self-esteem and confidence of having a good and
better job. It takes a big opportunity that help students to take and maintain the grade in job
relation.
Specifically, job relations is interrelationship with the grades that gives opportunities to
the students to find a better job and confront the job of what the students must have in the future.
It is confine compatible with essence of the responsibility of the students to take a possible task
for the job itself and towards the grades. Its a big help for the student of having grades and that
motivates and encourages them of what are for their future and contradicting to their tasks. It is
then a promotion of their own efforts that they havent received in the future.
Opportunity cost for the student o get a better job in the future. Sometimes they say
things like, "I'm going to get into sales. I won't ever need geometry," or "I'm going in the
military. They don't care about my grades." Make it clear that even if those things are true, there
may be times when your teens grades do matter. He may want to go to college some day or he
may apply for a job where his transcripts will be reviewed. Make it clear that it's important to
keep as many opportunities open as possible.
Organizational Skills can help students promote for a better job. Along with
communication and computer skills, organizational skills is one of the most important

transferable job skills a worker can possess. Companies need workers who can stay organized
and focus on the projects at hand. Working skills are controllable to the students with the good
grades and gives advantages in which, students have known more of their choice of jobs.
Therefore, grades encourage and motivate students to learn. It is guaranteed that grades
are clearly an important factor encourage students to learn. They help students to attend good
college and also help them to work harder. Grades definitely have an important role in education.
It is clearly discussed that it really matters in which the ability of the students matter the most in
what they have learned and in what way the students can confined their own surplus in their own
study habit. Encouraging and Motivating their selves really help then move forward to success.
