There will be no exceptions without prior approval from the Senior supervisor. The following procedures will be followed for issuance of electronic citations: 4) ALL Parking Enforcement Technicians SHALL first take a clear photo of the vehicle's Tear license plate which will include the rear of the vehicle (refer to Attachment 1) The hand-held computer will not allow you to proceed with issuance of the citation without the first photo. 2) Take’a second photo which shall show the violation (refer to Attachments #2 3) You may take up to four (4) photos per citation. Example: Attachment #3 Expired receipt in window; Attachn Disabled Placard Displayed- No receipt Displayed 4) Select the first photo showing the rear license plate to print on the citation. 5) The rest of the photos will be downloaded into the system and will be available for viewing by the motorist on the Parking website. (Effective January 2011) 8) Enter all pertinent information in appropriate boxes shown in the citation image on the hand-held computer screen. TD) Complete all required notations. 8) Print citation and place on vehicle's windshield with envelope. If there is no rear license plate proceed with taking the photo showing that there is No Plate on the vehicle. Parking Enforcement vehicle operators are responsible for detecting the first signs of faulty equipment by ‘completing the pre and post operation vehicle inspection of the vehicle. This inspection and report will be performed daily upon use of the enforcement vebicle and upon the vebicles return. The Parking Control Technician is to do a thorough check (pre and post) of the appearance, running condition and drivability of their vehicle, This inspection will take place after line up and when the vehicle ‘ retumed at the end of the shift. (30 mins. prior fo the end 6f shift). Ifrepairs or maintenance are necessary the vebicle may need to be taken out of service by the Supervisor until the isoues are addressed or the ‘Supervisor has authorized further use:by completing the “Operate As Is Until” section next to Supervisor's signature. The Equipment Shop Supervisor may also authorize the vehicle for further use. The vehicle will not be operated if any condition exists that creates an illegal or unsafe condition At the end of your shift, turn the white copy of the Pre & Post Vehicle Operation Chécklist in to your Shift Supervisor. lfrepairs or’ maintenance are needed, tum the pink copy in to your Shift Supervisor. The Shift Supervisor will xeview the form, sign it, and submit the form to the shop. After service has been completed, the shop will sign the pink copy and rétum it to the parking officer, who will tun it in fo their Shift Supervisor. ‘The Yellow copy of the form stays in the book at all times, as a eport of completion.
