Aboriginal Drumming Series
The Youth Art and Culture program for 7 12 year olds

is back with an Aboriginal Drumming Series with Barb
Cyr. Join us for traditional songs and teachings, hands on
drumming on a powwow drum, smudging ceremonies
and make your own traditional aboriginal hand drum!
This is five part series and will include four drumming
sessions on October 5, 12, November 2 and 9 (please note
these dates are different than previously advertised in
the Pennywise) at the Kaslo Family Centre, located in JV
Humphries School, from 3 4:30 pm, as well as a full day
drum making ceremony on November 14, 10:30 am 3
pm (location for this session TBA).
FREE! Snacks and materials provided. Gas vouchers available for families driving from up the lake. Any child who is
interested in participating is welcome, registration required,
spaces limited. For information/registration contact Sarah
