Summary
Scrap to Craft is a
community and hopefully discovers in a next level of marketing their unique products. Theyll be using recycled
materials as a scrap to make a craft combining their ability and skill plus their creativity to make a useful and valuable
household material.
II.
Business Concept
A. Rationale
One of the biggest problems that the Philippines are now facing is the problem in waste materials. Like what
happened in the past few years where the different typhoon came and due to heavy rainfall some of the cities are
heavily affected. The effect of not realizing where to put such a trash in a right place might be the danger of our lives.
Likewise, the flood that devastates many lives is cause by a little trash that if it is put it in a million ton it will kill a
thousand of lives. So we see some items that can be found in waste materials are recyclable or those materials that
can be set apart from refuse so that they can be recycled or reuse.
We the 3rd year student taking a Bachelor in Cooperatives- Financial Management and Accounting would
like to make a business entitled Scrap to Craft. Scrap to Craft is a kind of business that engaged in selling craft
items that made from scrap materials. Craft is an activity that involves making something in a skillful way by using
your hands.
Recycling is the process of separating, collecting and manufacturing or converting used or waste products
into new materials. The recycling process involves a series of steps to produce new products. It is also the process of
making or manufacturing new products from a product that has originally served its purpose. If these used products
are disposed of in an appropriate, environmentally friendly way, the process of recycling has been set in motion.
Items that are made from materials such as aluminum, plastic water bottles, and certain kinds of paper (plus many
more) can be separated from your regular trash and put in an appropriate recycling bin. (http://www.benefits-ofrecycling.com/whatisrecycling/).
B. Introduction
The cooperatives encourage the community to segregate the waste and recycle materials. Through this the
cooperative will able to help the conservation of the environment.
III.
Business Description
The possible product will be produce by the members as the worker of the cooperative. The role of other
members and non- members was to collect and sell their recycle materials.
What are the possible sources or recycle materials?
Metals
Paper/Carton boxes
Plastic bottle
News Paper/Magazines
Electronics

And other materials that can be use as product.
The business will able to maintain and sustain the development of the cooperatives with the cooperation of
the community. This will help to encourage not only specific community but also the other community. Environment is
part of daily life and activities, without it life is impossible. As cooperatives advocates green environment this
business plan fit to the need of the whole community.
As a start, the member wholl be part of the business is required to attend a seminar and workshops about
craftsmanship. This is to enhance their skills and improve their knowledge about the said business.
The target market or costumers of SC are everyone who likes and enjoy craft materials and scrapbooking.
Since it is the first time to launch a different kind of business, we assure people that maybe our product

One of our main objectives is developing the awareness of people that our environment is essential and
important to us.
Provide the members and non-members a valuable and economy-wise product that will fit to their taste.
Make the business as one of the most adequate of craft products in the country.
The reason why our group would like to showcase this kind of business is that aside from earning a profit in
early stage, we only not grow by ourselves but also together with the whole community and for the environment to
grow better for the next generation of life. And we think that this kind of business is very timely and real-time because
it can reduce the damage of the coming calamities if we, people help to conserve our nature and dont put waste all
the time.

Based on the data presented above the Scrap to Craft business we visualized the certain goal for 5 years
for number of product from 4 to 9, number of customer from 2000 to 5000, numbers of outlet from 1 to 8 and
numbers of employees from 22 to 100. For the sales of product we assume that for 5 years we can increase the
numbers of sales from 2000 a year to 5000 a year. And an increase of net profit from P 1,200,000.00 to P
7,005,000.00 on the 5th year.
that will fit to their place; colours that suit their environment, cheap price that makes them happy and contented, and
the uniqueness of our product.
COMPETITOR CHARACTERISTICS
Most business have competitors. It is defend on the people or customers if they will buy our products or the
competitors product.
Our competitors name is the Papemelroti. Papemelroti is a specialty shop which carries a wide variety of
gifts and decorative accessories. They aim to design products that help encourage, uplift, and inspire as well as bring
warmth and beauty to homes. Their products reflect values and themes which are important to their family - a
commitment to and love of God, family, home, country and the environment. They use recycled wood, wood from
crates that used to bring in elevators or big car parts- this is what they use to make their furniture, and also their
shelves, frames, desk accessories. They inspire people to do better, to be nicer, to be kinder, to love more, and to
make each day count. And the price of their products is cheap so that, even the students can buy their products.
They are popular here in Philippines because they have their store or outlets in different malls.
My competitors major strength is their products reflect values and themes. Their products are too familiar to
the people. They have already their loyal customers. The weaknesses of the competitor are the connections with
their costumers because the products we produced to the market are greatly in touch with its customers. Given this
information, I can improve myself and my business in the following ways: making an affordable but long lasting
product, make an outlet to make out with more costumers who will patronize the products and services we had, and
to improve the quality of products we produced, and also to motivates the employees to increase the numbers of
production every day.

sales objectives, and resources available for achieving this goal. A sales plan may
also assign particular sales representatives or other staff to particular roles or territories,
and may include a breakdown of who will focus improving sales for which product.
Each month have a corresponding figure of how many products are will be sold. In the month
December, we can foretell the sales by making it higher than any month because it is Christmas
Season and people buy a lot to give to their love ones as a gift. And in the middle of the year whereas
the sales got a status quo because we think that for some people it is just an ordinary day, theyll just
buy what they really need for the meantime. As the business starts to run we will do our best and slowly
but surely make a name in the world of market.
