recently challenged him to come up with a composition which could blend a variety of traditional effects with
some of our new cutting edge products such as the Orbital Modulator, Hot Hand USB and the Hot Hand 3. In
addition to the 3 minute video, which is highly entertaining, Nathan has also documented exactly how each

1. Hot Hand 3 (going to BEF Pro) used on the right strumming hand
2. Hot Hand USB (being used with Logic Pro) attached to the head stock of bass

Intro: 0:04 to 0:53

Pedal(s) Engaged: Dimension Reverb Settings: Use the Arena setting withthe Time just below max,
Treble at 1 o clock, and Mix at 12 oclock.

Section One: 0:53 to 1:22

Pedal(s) Engaged: Orbital Modulator
Settings: Use the Quad setting with the Depth at 9 oclock, the speed at 11 o clock, and the
ModSource just below max. Switch from the Quad setting to the Res1 setting at 1:10.

Section Two: 1:30 to 2:32

Pedal(s) Engaged: ODF Bass Micromodeler
Settings: Use the GatedFuzz setting with Drive at 2 o clock, Mix at 11 o clock, Tone at 11:30, and
Output at 1 o clock.

(2:17 to 2:19) and (2:24 to 2:32)

Use the Hot Hand USB (connected to the headstock) to shift Formants in a Vocal Transformer plug in
via Logic Pro.

Section Three: (2:32 to 3:05):

Pedal(s) Engaged: SYB-5, OFD Bass Micromodeler, MBD Pro, BEF Pro
Settings:
SYB5

Use Mode 4, Decay Rate at 12:30, Frequency at 12 oclock, Resolution at minimum, Effect at 3
oclock, and Direct at minimum.

OFD Bass Micromodeler

Use the Metal setting with a low noise gate. The Drive,
Mix, Tone, and Output knobs remain at the same place as the previous section.

MBD Pro
Use setting number 7, Drive at 4 oclock, Clean Mix at max, and
Distortion Mix at 12 oclock.

BEF Pro
Use setting number 17, Sweep Range at 3 oclock, Frequency at 1
oclock, Speed at 11:30, and Mix at minimum.
