The Thomas H. Bowden, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in the
2002: Justin Theodorou and Katherine Elizabeth Reilly
Spring of 2002. Shielah and Thomas Bowden of Glen Ridge created The Fund to

honor the memory of their son. Tom, an equities trader with Cantor Fitzgerald, was

a victim of the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Two scholarships were awarded in 2002—the first was to honor Tommy’s 2006: Daniel Shanin and Laura Tycon
memory and the second was a special tribute to all the victims in the “Twin Towers” 2007: Adria DeSimone
that once graced the skyline. Additional scholarships have been presented every 2008: Emily Ivory and Nicholas Bauer
year since then. 2009: Sean Walter

Each of the recipients has also, as Tommy did, quietly touched the lives of 2010: Robert Rollo

others.


