ATIS
1. INTRODUCCION
Un ATIS es la emisin continua grabada en un rea de gran actividad
seleccionada. Su objetivo consiste en mejorar la eficacia del controlador y mitigar
la congestin de la frecuencia a partir de la transmisin repetitiva y automatizada
de la informacin ms esencial.
En IVAO todos las dependencias de control de trafico aereo cuentan con un ATIS
de modo escrito y el piloto recibe automaticamente esta informacion al sintonizar
la frecuencia.
2. ESTRUCTURA
Los mensajes ATIS continen informacin para trficos de llegada y de salida y
deben contener la siguiente informacin :

METAR
1. GENERALIDADES
Los informes METAR indican las condiciones meteorolgicas reinantes en un
aeropuerto determinado, obtenidos por la estacin meteorolgica local, se brinda
en un formato y codificacin determinada.
Los METAR (Meteorologic Report) dan informacin reinante en un aeropuerto
determinado en un momento.
2. DECODIFICACION
SVMI 190400 14008KT CAVOK 28/25 Q1032
Cdigo ICAO
Lo primero que identificamos a simple vista es el cdigo ICAO del aeropuerto en
cuestin. SVMI corresponde al aeropuerto Internacional de Maiqueta.
Da y Hora de emisin
SVMI 190400 14008KT CAVOK 28/28 Q1032
Aqu se expresa el da y la hora UTC de la emisin del metar en el formato
DDHHMM, veamos el ejemplo 190400Z, nos dice que el metar fue emitido el da
19 del mes en curso a la hora de 04:00 Zul, sea 04:00UTC . Cabe aclarar que la
hora UTC es hora del meridiano de Greenwich. La sigla UTC proviene de
Universal Coordinated Time, podrn tambin encontrar la sigla GMT,
correspondiente a Greenwich Meridian Time. Todos los informes aeronuticos
importantes se realizan con este tipo de hora UTC.
Vientos
SVMI 190400 14008KT CAVOK 28/25 Q1032
La informacin de direccin y velocidad del viento, aqu agregaremos una
variante al ejemplo con la que es fcil encontrarse. 14008kt indica que existen
vientos con direccin 140 a una velocidad de 08 nudos (KT) , es decir que el
formato es, las tres primera cifras el rumbo del viento redondeado a diez grados y
las ultimas 2 cifras dan la intensidad del viento en nudos, en caso de que haya
leves cambios en la direccin se le agregara la sigla VRB , en ese caso quedara
140VRB08KT. Cabe aclarar, para evitar confusiones, que la direccin del viento es
la direccin desde donde sopla y no hacia donde, es decir de donde viene y no
hacia donde va. Por el contrario, si los cambios de direccin son muy notorios,
quiere decir esto que la variacin de la direccin

Las dos primeras cifras dan la temperatura ambiente en grados Celsius en el caso
28 y las dos ultimas la temperatura de punto de roco tambin en escala Celsius
25, para este caso. El punto de roco es la temperatura a la que debe enfriarse el
aire para que llegue a saturarse, es decir 100% de humedad relativa. La
temperatura ambiente demasiado cercana al punto de roco aumenta la
probabilidad de formacin de nubes, precipitaciones y neblina, aunque no es el
nico factor que interviene en la formacin de estos fenmenos, en general nos da
una idea de las condiciones que podemos llegar a encontrar.
Calibracin del Altmetro
SVMI 190400 14008KT CAVOK 28/25 Q1032
Medida en hectopascales, indica la presin a la que debe calibrarse el altmetro
para que mida la altitud real del aeropuerto (QNH), en este caso1032
Hectopascales, o 1032 milibares. Al que en los casos anteriores tiene una versin
distinta, tambin podra ser identificado como A3048, lo que equivale a 30.48
pulgadas de mercurio.
3. SPECI
Un SPECI es idntico al METAR con la diferencia que no es un reporte regular
sino que tiene como origen unas condiciones meteorolgicas puntuales que
ocurren desde la emisin del ultimo METAR.
Tiene como objetivo notificar las nuevas condiciones cuando mejoran o empeoran
desde el ultimo informe METAR.
4. PRIEP
Pilot Weather Report, Los pilotos deben reportar cualquier meteorologa
significativa o condiciones de vuelo al ATC tan pronto como sea posible.
Adicionalmente, toda meteorologa significativa o condiciones de vuelo que
claramente sean diferentes de las pronosticadas, sern reportadas al
Despachador. No existe un formato especfico para este tipo de reporte. Es
necesario informar al controlador de Torre de la existencia de windshear en la
salida o la aproximacin tan pronto como sea posible.
