infrastructureforyouinfrastructureasacode,which
allowsyoutocustomizetheenvironmentstoproduce
varioustopologiestoservedierentfunconality,such
astestenvironments,environmentsforperformance
tesngordevelopmentenvironments,andsoon.
Notably,thesecustomizaonscanberetainedacross
maintenanceapplicaon(upgrades,patches,and
updates).
Asadeveloperandusingtheenvironmentforpersonal
use,thisdoesnotmakemuchuse,butdenitelywillbe
benecialforbiggerorganizaon.
Pleasemakenotethat,thefollowingtutorialismeant
forpersonaluseandsmallsystems.
So,letsstarttheinstallaonprocess:

PeopleSoVirtualMachine
1.TherststepistodownloadthePUMzippedles
fromPUMhomepage.
YoumayclickonVirtualBoxlink.
NaveOSisforadvanceduser,whichwemay
seenexttutorials.
Acceptthelicenceagreementandaerfewwindows,
youwillreachthedownloadpages.

Downloadalltheles.
2.Onceyouhavedownloadedalltheles.Makesure
youtakeacopyofit,soincaseyoumesseditup,
youhavethebackupandneednotdownloadagain.
WhenItriedtherstme,Imistakenlyranone
ofthescriptsanditdeletedalltheles.
Theleswilllookasshownbelow:
3.CreateafolderDPK_INSTALLandplaceallthese
lesinthat.
4.InsideDPK_INSTALLfolder,extractallthelesone
byone.
Youmaydeletethedownloadedlesastheyare
notneeded.
5.Onceyouhaveextractedallthelesin
DPK_INSTALLfolder,thefolderwilllook
somethingsimilarexcepttheSESxxxles.

6.IfyouareusingOracleSES,combinetheindividual
les.
Thedownloadedlesincludemulpleziples
forOracleSES.Aeryouextracttheziples,you
mustcombinethemulpleSESxxxvmdklesinto
asingleSESxxx.vmdklebeforebeginningthe
processtoimporttheVirtualBoxshell.The
namesforthelesthatyouextractwillvary;in
thisexample,referstotheOracleSESversion
andpatchnumber.
a.Inacommandprompt,gotoDPK_INSTALLandrun
thefollowingcommand:
copy/bSES_.tgz1of4+SES_.tgz2of4+SES_.tgz3of4+SES_.tgz4of4SES_.tgz
Note.Thereisaspacebeforethenalcombined
.tgzname.
b.ExtracttheSESVMDKfromthetgzle.
Use7zip,whichisincludedinthedownloaded
les.
ThiswillcreateSES_.tarleinthesame
directory.
c.Againextractthe.tarleusing7zipanditwill
createavmdkle.Youmaydeletethetarandtgz
lesoncevmdkleiscreated.
7.Now,InstalltheVirtualBoxifyouhaventdone
earlier.Openthevirtualboxandgotole,import
appliance.
NavigatetoVBOX_xxx_SHELL.ovaleextractedin
DPK_INSTALLfolder.
KeepthesengofVirtualBoxasshowninsnapand
makesureyouhavecheckedReinializeMac
Address.

AtthispointifyouarelookingtouseSES,youmay

configure the peopltools 8.55 on windows ?
encoured issues with SetupPTClient on
windows 10 machine. Have you done that ?

Breadcrumbs are gone in this image 9.2.017 ( I
installed image 17). Is there a way or setting
where we enable or disble bread crumbs. I
meant the Main Menu navigation on the top.

Hi parwaiz. I figured this out. I had to

change the Branding to others. One
other problem I face is as soon as I
login I want the classic home page to
appear but its not happening. as soon I
login I see the fluid home page. Is there
a way to change it to classic home??

On the Webprofile , there is

checkbox Disable fluid for
desktop.
Check that, restart webservers
and webservers.
It will work after that.
You can individually also
disable it in the personalization
options

Could anyone has tried with native OS. Oracle

suggest that can be imported to Non Virtual
machine with any platform. that means it can
be Windows platform as well.

the same process. I am not able to login as
PS/PS
When I am installing people tools I am facing
the below error

DLL psvccrt_retail.msi installation
failed

Hi,
Ive tried this tutorial and got an error in virtual
box
EXTRACTING THE PEOPLESOFT PEOPLETOOLS
ARCHIVE [FAILED] the archive is corrupt or
the directory has not enough space.
I checked the archive hash it is not corrupt.
There is lots of space on my drive..
