ROSEN LEADS TARKANIAN BY 7 POINTS IN THE TWO-WAY CONGRESSIONAL VOTE


Democrat Jacky Rosen leads Republican Danny
Tarkanian by 7 points (48% to 41%) in a DCCC
survey of likely general election voters conducted
in Nevadas 3rd Congressional district on
September 27, 2016. Rosen leads by 3 points even
with the inclusion of third-party candidates (40%
to 37%).
Rosen leads among crucial registered Independent
voters by 20 points (52% to 32%) and with women
by 16 points (53% to 37%).

TARKANIAN HAS A NET NEGATIVE PROFILE IN THE DISTRICT


Voters in the district hold an unfavorable view of Tarkanian (-11 net, 29% to 40%) and his extreme
conservative profile. Tarkanians ties to Donald Trump are also a liability in this district, as 57% of voters
have an unfavorable view of Trump and 43% of voters believe Tarkanian will support Trumps policies.

HILLARY CLINTON HAS AN 8-POINT LEAD OVER DONALD TRUMP


In the presidential contest, Democrat Hillary Clinton leads Republican Donald Trump by 8 points (46% to
38% with 10% supporting Gary Johnson). In a two-way contest, Clinton maintains a lead of 5 points (46%
to 41%).

A mainly suburban (47.0%) district, Nevadas third congressional district runs along the southern tip of
the state and includes portions of Las Vegas and Henderson. The Citizen Voting Age Population is 12.5%
Asian American/Pacific Islander, 11.8% Hispanic/Latino, and 6.9% African American.
These results are based on a survey of 458 likely 2016 general election voters in NV-03 conducted by the
DCCC on September 27, 2016. Respondents information came from the voter file and respondents were
interviewed over the phone via either a live or an IVR (robo) survey. The margin of error is +/- 4.58%.
