Competition

Background Information
These events are open to any of the 21 member federations of the
FIBA Oceania zone (refer note following). The event qualifies a
team (teams) to the corresponding World Event the following year.
If the corresponding event in the following year is an Olympic Games
only those Federations in nations where a National Olympic Committee
exists, may participate in the Oceania Championship.

Played every 2 years. Next due in 2012 in Melbourne. Oceania
All-Star team selected from Island nation competitors at this
event, to represent FIBA Oceania at a competition in Australia in
January of the following year.
Competition limited to 8 mens & 8 womens team.
