Keith Cagle is one of the impressive teacher I had taken under. (ASL 421.01 Fall
2012)
Dr. Keith Cagle is amazing teacher and I am definitely looking forward to have him
as my teacher next semester! I learned lots from him! (ASL 752.01 Fall 2012)
This course is very beneficial to prepare the teachers with lesson plan, syllabus,
assessment tool and so on. It is amazing. I learned so much from this class. I give
this course 10 out of 10. (ASL 752.01 Fall 2012)
Its a really privilege to take under Dr. Cagle for this course. I do really learn a lot
from him and pushed me on the new level on understanding how to be a better
activist for sign language community. I wish that the course itself could last
longer!!! Many thanks for all of his hard work and energy to make this course into
exciting ones. (ASL 770 Spring 2012)
This was, by far, the best course I have taken at Gallaudet. Out class, including the
professor, felt like a TEAM for once where we worked together on our positive goals,
rather than being angry and obsessing about how the world has many negatives. It
was wonderful that the teacher repeatedly emphasized human relations
NECESSARY for our major/department (DEAF Studies) where we are more often left
off feeling upset without an outlet to do something about it in a positive way. (ASL
770 Spring 2012)
Fantastic course with an even more fantastic instructor! (ASL 770 Spring 2013)
Dr. Keith was a wonderful professor I ever have known. I like his ASL style and nice
attitude to everyone and make sure us to pay attention to him or classmates
lecture. I offered my friends to take his course if Dr. Keith will teach next year! Not
other professor! (ASL 770 Spring 2013)
The instructor is one of the best instructor I ever had! I hope to take his classes
again in near future! (ASL 770 Spring 2013)
One of the best courses Ive ever taken. The instructor was excellent, and provided
a high quality of teaching that challenged me to think critically about the topics in
class. (ASL 770 Spring 2013)
It was a pleasure having Keith Cagle as my instructor again. He was firm and fair.
Creating lesson plans has not been an easy task but with his guidance and patience,
I was able to capture in effective make lesson plans. Thanks to him. (ASL 790
Spring 2013)

I admire my Academic Advisor, Dr. Keith Cagle. He gave me many feedbacks in a

positive and supportive ways. (ASL 790 Spring 2013)
Dr. Cagle is a wonderful professor. Ive learned so much from him. I benefited so
much information that is applicable to me teaching philosophy. His insight and
input with the course are rich and his experiences are very important to share. I
strong encourage to have him continue teaching the course. (ASL 741 Summer
2012)
Dr. Cagle is a very wonderful teacher! Thank you! (ASL 741 Summer 2012)
Keith is a terrific teacher. (ASL 741 Summer 2012)
Dr. Cagle showed interest in the students progress in learning the material. He
would check back and show patience effortlessly. This seemed to be his element
being in the classroom with the students. He knows his stuff and is eager to share
his knowledge and expertise with us. (ASL 741 Summer 2012)
Keith is one of the best professors ever I have. I like his teaching styles. (ASL 741
Summer 2012)
Keith is a great instructor. He signed clear and did explain the context. I would
consider to have him again in the future. (ASL 741 Summer 2012)
Great course! I really enjoyed Dr. Cagles lectures and our discussions on the topics
related. The course well prepare me for future endeavors. I really dislike the idea of
having final exam for this course. When I took, I realized it is more of preparing
myself on how to develop, understanding curriculum procedures, and how syllabus,
lesson plan is important for teaching, so I would give final exam more credit than I
originally did. Good job Dr. Cagle! (ASL 741 Summer 2012)
I felt the instructor was very professional and it was obvious he loved his job. He
knew how to share his experience that as applicable to the course itself. It was easy
to relate to that approach, using his experience with what he was teaching in class. I
respect and admire his teaching style. I felt the materials provided were excellent. I
will admit the time frame was limited in being able to provide quality completed
assignments. I feel that if the time were not an issue considering all the information
involved how much more we could offer back in our assignments. I will admit it was
a little rushed not because of poor time planning but realistically time was limited.
Regardless, I enjoyed this class. (ASL 741 Summer 2012)
Dr. Cagle is an outstanding instructor. (ASL 741 Summer 2012).

No complaints. Dr. Cagle is wonderful as a professor; he is available, prepared, fair,

knowledgeable about the subject matter, interesting and a beautiful language model.

Dr. Cagle is very clear in the expectations for the class. His signing is crystal clear. He is so
patient with all the students in the class. The assignments really helped to learn the topic at
hand. I understand why this course is important for interpreters however because I already have
a degree in interpretation some of the material was redundant, to no fault of the instructor. I
would have liked to analyze the features with elan in class as a group. I thoroughly enjoyed the
teachers way of introducing and teaching information. The class was well structured. I would
have liked to have more hands on assignments in the class. It would have been great to work on
some of the different linguistic features in class instead of lecture and then at home practice. I
would take class from this instructor again and again. I have come to respect him greatly in the
last semester. The guest lectures were some of my favorite here at Gallaudet. Dr. Collins
presentation was fantastic. I appreciate both the professors working together on that lecture. I
learned so much.

This was my favorite course all semester, and Dr. Cagle was my favorite professor. Absolutely
loved him and this class. (INT 707 Fall 2013)
I gained valuable information through the instructor's feedback. I appreciated especially

Dr. Keith was great I would take course again though, because I really liked Dr. Keith. A
warm, friendly, helpful, human professor very rare these days! (INT 707 Fall 2014)
I really enjoyed having Dr. Cagle as a professor. He came to class excited to learn from us and
excited teach. He is such a sweet man and was always excited to invoke discussion. He was
very eager to show us all he could and kept us excitement during class time. His homework
assignments, however were a little tedious and some classmates were unable to meet right after
class, so it made getting the homework done a little difficult. Other than that, I loved his class!
(INT 707 Fall 2014)
I really enjoyed this class. Since Im familiar with linguistics I expected it to be a lot of review.
Instead, I learned a lot more than I expected. My favorite part was learning about nonmanual
features and all of their different functions and meanings. I really enjoyed this course!!! (INT
707 Fall 2014)
I appreciated Dr. Cagle's preparation and organization for this class. Even though
this class could easily be passed off by a faculty member, he really seemed to want
to make sure that we had a valuable experience from the seminar itself. I strongly
believe that this course should be worth SIX credit hoursnot three (INT 831

Fall 2014)

Having an organized teacher was really nice. It made things much easier to understand and
follow and reduce confusion when it came to homework and other assignment. (INT 325 Fall

Hard working professor. Always with a plan B and planning in advance. I always felt that even
thought we did a lot of work I felt well prepared when teaching. He created a great pace and
structure for the preparation of the class. (INT 831 Fall 2015)
Keith was always available to discuss the class. He is very consideratious and knows about
teaching. He is always very respectful of the ideas of others. He was pleasure to work with!

Keith was always prompt with feedback and had good comments that were applicable to my
work. He was always very encouraging and enthusiastic in class. He is very supportive and I
appreciate his input and guidance throughout the semester. (INT 492 Spring 2015)
Dr. Cagle was a wonderful teaching internship supervisor. He is a very effective communicator
and was always timely with his responses. He was incredibly supportive of me and my teaching
experience throughout the semester, especially when I went through a really rough time with my
co-teacher. I really appreciated that Dr. Cagle is organized and always prepared for our
meetings/classes. I look forward to working with him more in the future. (INT 841 Spring
2015)
Great course and excellent instructor! I appreciated Keiths willingness to work with us and be
flexible with us. Keith is the perfect teacher for this course. (INT 841 Spring 2016)
Dr. Cagle was extremely organized and supportive. We met every week before and after class
to make sure everything was ready before going in and to debrief about what work and what
didnt as well as following weeks planning. It was an excellent experience. (INT 841 Spring

2016).
I appreciate having Keith as my dissertation chair. It is nice to discuss the work with someone
who have similar experiences and can direct me in a path that I can understand and pursue. I
look forward to a strong finish. (INT 899 Spring 2016)
