CLASS ATTENDANCE
Every student is required prompt and regular attendance. Tardiness and absences are recorded from the
first day of classes.
Tardiness on three different occasions shall be considered one absence. A student is considered late after
5 minutes and absent after 15 minutes. However, he can still attend the class even if he is considered absent.
A student who incurs absences of more than twenty percent (20%) of the total number of class hours
during the school term should be dropped from the subject.
Missed exams:
A missed exam will be recorded as a grade of zero.
EXAMINATIONS AND GRADING SYSTEM
Periodical examinations
o There are three (3) periodic examinations administered every semester, namely: Preliminary Examination,
Midterm Examination and Final Examination.
o The registrar determines the schedule of the periodical examinations and disseminates the information as part
of the School Calendar.
o No student is allowed to take the periodical examination without the examination permit/admission slip that
he secures from the Cashier/Finance Officer.
o Talking, opening of books and notes (unless authorized by the teacher), giving or receiving information,
orally or in writing or through cellular phones or beepers and other devices in the conduct of examinations
and any other forms of cheating shall be punished with a score of zero (0) for the particular examination.
o No special or late examination is given to a student who fails to take the periodical examination during the
regular schedules.
The periodical grade is computed with 40% taken from Average Quizzes, 40% from Major Exams/Periodical
Examination and 20% from Class Standing.
A student who fails to take the periodical examination is given a grade of 5.0 for that particular test.
A grade of INC shall be completed within three months from the date it was obtained. Students who fail
to comply; the requirements within 1 year shall re-enroll the subject.
