Discussion:

From the experiment of determining chemical composition of the soil, we found that
the value of Potassium in silt is 160 lb A/6 soil, value of Nitrogen is 40 lb A/6 soil and the
value of Phosphorus is 40 lb A/6 soil.
Plants need potassium for several important life functions, especially the movement of
water, nutrients and carbohydrate molecules inside of the plant. Additionally, potassium
promotes early, healthy growth, helps plants to form proteins, protects from water loss and
provides resistance against pests and diseases. From this experiment, silt soil resulted has
higher value of Potassium (160 lb A/6 soil) which means that, silt soil has a greater benefit
in crop yields.
Nitrogen is of vital importance to the physiology of plants. It plays a critical role in
the process of photosynthesis by which plants manufacture their own food from sunlight.
Further, nitrogen is essential in plants' manufacturing of proteins and in virtually every other
aspect of plant physiology. However, any nitrogen that isn't absorbed leaks into water
supplies and creates large growths of algae, which can be harmful to other aquatic species.
We found Nitrogen level in silt is very low (40 lb A/6 soil) which is very suitable used in
crop yields.
Phosphorus (P) is one of the most important elements for plant growth and
metabolism. It plays key roles in many plant processes such as energy metabolism, the
synthesis of nucleic acids and membranes, photosynthesis, respiration, nitrogen fixation and
enzyme regulation. The higher value of phosphorus in soil causes yellowing or bleaching of
the leaves of plants. From this experiment, we found that Phosphorus levels in silt is very low
(40 lb A/6 soil) so, silt soil is suitable used in crop yields.

Conclusion :
Silt soil has higher Potassium levels (160 lb A/6), lower Nitrogen and Phosphorus
levels ( 40 lb A/6 soil). These chemical composition in silt soil give a lot of benefits in crop
yield which can help the plants grow more healthy.
