OTM Last Mile Mobile Role

The idea for Mobility in the Retail industry, from the OTM
perspective, is to provide a solution to home deliveries
A new OTM Mobile version is being developed and delivered
by Oracle in Version 6.3 and higher of OTM
It addresses delivery requirements by simplifying workflow
processes and eliminating paper documents.
And allows visibility of information from mobile devices to
the back-office.
In turn, this version reduces the O2C cycle time because of
the reduction of travel time of POD back to origin

There are no products without transportation needs, they
are either delivered to customers door or picked up by client
to the nearest retailer store
When shopping products thru the internet, customer
assumes installation risks and he also may incur additional
expenses and lose of warranty by doing it yourself
Also, due to retail stores are measured by income per square
feet, customer may not find available inventory for every
product to take away or his vehicle might not fit the product
he is buying at retailer store

These are the samples for HOME Delivery to take place,
more often:
Delivery will include an installation service paid by customer,
mitigating the risk of guarantee loss because of handling issues
Inventory optimization at Retail store will be supported by home
delivering the Big Tickets

transportation activities and the ability to set up delivery
appointments
