We have all seen it happen in this field. yv ‘As many know I have not been a big fan of DVD teaching. My aversion to video x teaching is due to my belie that often it leads to the viewer/purchaser parroting x the performer who is teaching and that the viewer does not in many cases make the effect or concept their own by changing it to suit their own unique persona, However it was pointed out to me by Timmy O'Brien, who is one of my business partners, that | needed to remember some people like to see these things actually demonstrated as proof that they are doable. | would point out he is one of those who prefers to see rather than read. Now you know how this DVD came to be. | have made the attempt to offer illustration via performance footage of how these ideas might be put to use and also to prove the power of the concepts. But | have left enough space that the purchaser will be forced to do a bit of scripting himself and hopefully come up with further applications. In fact if you are going to use any of these things the very nature of the tools > demands that you make them yours by fitting them to your own performance = style. ‘have done what | could to invite the viewer to be more mentally engaged on
